Probably it's rumor. The only hope now is the FTA [Free Trade Agreement] between Malaysia & Thailand [ASEAN countries] which probably has come into effect from 1st Jan'10. Auto sector has been excluded as of now as far as what i have read about, lets hope for the best.

Came as an interesting title but not so interesting really.
Set up a damn factory here! Use India as you hub for export just like every other car manufacturer. The only way to see prices similar to US/Aus/UK.

        Why Gladius and not SV650???

It struck to my mind, just now, as I am writing this post. Why not Suzuki consider bringing in the faired 2009 SV650 instead of the Gladius.

I feel, this V Twin liquid cooled machine, has enough juice to woo a lot of folks in this forum.

I checked the pics of it, and cudnt help drool!!

I hope Suzuki, considers this machine too in near future.. what say guys?

i love SV for what it offers. its cheap to buy and cheap to maintain. it will prove to be a nice street bike in India and would be exciting enough on the race tracks

The Gladius is not a superbike, its not even a supersport. And 7 lacs? Its much less if you get it in the west so the import duty is applied proportionately to it as it is to the bigger bikes.

Anyhow, for India this will be more then enough.
