IRCs is a brand of repute whereas Eurogrips suck big time....But BOTH the tyres are not "soft compund".....(I am sure about Eurogrips, IRC I am not 100% sure)....!

correction: IRCs are soft compound as well, but don't know in comparison to the soft compound zappers. The IRCs are still softer than all other tires we get on other bikes, i mean.
On dry surfaces, i'd rate the ZAPPER a 7/10, and the IRCs an 8.5/10.
The IRCs turn useless as soon as you show them some loose gravel or a wet surface.

Now no IRC and Eurogrip options are being given. I went to Indiranagar PBK 3 days back and they told that now all come with MRF zapper only.
Earlier there was some issues with the contract so an alternate. Now only the MRF Zapper. This was told by the pbk people.
      My thoughts...

Just love the way the engine behaves, no seriously. My brother rides a P180 v2.1 and this bike cannot do the speeds as easily as my P220 Fi does, hence want a bike that can match the speeds while touring.

Have test ridden the RTR180... no offense but the bike felt like a "luna" when I sat on it... when accelerated... the vibes were so much that at around 7.5-8k rpm in 2nd and 3rd gears... even the rpm needle was vibrating what will happen if I cruise all day at 90+kmph??... I want a bike to tour on, which should be smooth and have enough juice in the 5th gear at 80+ speeds.. basically want more torque at high speeds (however can live with the R15 as it feels better overall... and can cruise all day... only issue being the top end gearing... still manageable).

Have chucked out ZMR as I said... did not like the looks at all... and that bullc**p thing that HH claims... waiting of 3 months... I asked the number of bookings done.. he said 16... could not stop laughing . Although still considering the ZMA-R.

I will wait for the next 5-6 months before I get a new bike (in addition to my bike) as I feel there might be a 4-valve iteration on the whole pulsar range. So as of now... its either the R15 or the P220 S... will wait and watch for the time being.

Thats exactly what I intend to do, wait and watch. My current ride is 8 yrs now (180 classic) and has run for over 80k kms, though its in perfect running condition I want to get something new and the 220 siblings interest me a lot along with the much rumored RTR 220.

Now with the 4 valve 135 baby Pulsar already in production I think Bajaj will now upgrade all the Pulsar with this new valve technology. Is the Baby Pulsars engine a downsized 150 Pulsar engine? Or its a new one all together?

          Cheers

I hope you are not trying to re-create the RTR 2xx like rumor mill here.

Buddy do wait for some time. I also have to book the bike but just waiting for some time coz since other manufacturers are bringing new bikes in the market bajaj would definitely get something and nothing would be better than a 220 with 4valves!!!!

We are in the same boat. You have a 200 so enjoy with it for some more months and who knows the rewards might be really sweet
