Guys here would be ready to shell out thousands of extra dough just for a Half/Full Fairing for show off/bragging rights.. but to invest about Rs. 5,000-10,000 for a Lifesaving Helmet (forget a feature like ABS) can raise eyebrows.
Agree, but I believe marketing can make a slight difference here. Firstly, people have to understand what ABS is (specially in India).

An attractive punchline should be chosen by company. Somewhat like:-->
"The Ultimate Braking Assist for anyone, anywhere!" or "Brake harder anytime, everytime".

It's not merely a safety aid, it increase braking performance too. This is the message that should go.
About cost factor, I say that I advise Fi, ABS, etc. to anyone going for a LONG term bike...
Let's hope the Indian ABS gives a good 60-0 time!

      Well...

Indian Customers Welcomed the Fuel Injection Technology and paid that thousands for just a mere .5 bhp Increase...

So, No Doubt ABS will also be welcomed by us....And ya I would definitely switch to ABS if it is available as Upgrade to previous Models too.....

I hope an upgrade could be possible....

They will probably launch it as optional
so the price conscious individual can opt for the ones without ABS and the enthusiasts can opt for the one with ABS
