Wow !! This is just so beautiful Sometimes i feel like i should dump all the worldly pursuits like home loans etc, chuck out all the negativity of practical purchases, and just get a Harley.

      Some day i will.

Test Rides of your favorite Harley? They mean they'll offer test rides of any one Harley bike...

Don't worry. Won't be long before they realize this ain't the country for offering test rides of such bikes... Let some hooligans hear about this.

Anyone from xbhp going for the Harley Davidson booking after April 20th? Boy, I am so tempted to break my self imposed 'no-EMI' rule and buy a XR 1200! I love that bike, looks like nothing else in the market!

Buddy, its 9.95L ex show room Delhi price & add abut 1 to 1.5% more for OTR price. What's that No-EMI rule? You mean no finance available or something like that? HD has already spoken with ICICI & ppl from ICICI are ready to finance at the blink of an eye. Remember, there're no showrooms coming up now, but will be opened by June 2010 with the motorcycle deliveries. I don't know how they're planning to book without showrooms.

Though I like to mess my hands on 1200CC, I somehow don't like the looks of Nightster or XR1200; somehow the XL883 is very appealing & fortunately that's also highly unaffordable.

This is great news ! tempted to get the XL883R roadster

@aargee : Its a self made rule of not taking loans and hence no-EMI's

Right, to me, even if I get a ride on a HD, its an achievement of lifetime.

Got you. Thanks. However, HD is arranging loans. If someone has a mild deep pocket, the loan can help him go deeper (into debt) further. Its better to watch out ICICI's back rather than HD because to get a hand on the reposessed motorcycle

@Rahul - to me, XL1200N is more appealing except for its handle bars & grey powder coated engine

PS - Did you notice your post count is 1234?

Man, whatever you say, but I somehow love the XR1200 better than other Harleys, with its upswept exhaust and a genuine flat track racing heritage. None of the HD look 'young' except for the XR1200 and the V/Night Rods.

Let me see how my career plans work out in the next few months, and maybe I can think of taking my first loan - ever!

Right, something are appealing to some people & its absolutely their choice and if people don't like it, why would HD even consider manufacturing one isnt' it? And did you mean the XL 1200 N (Nightster) or the the plain XR 1200X?

Oh yes, I meant the XR1200x and not the XL.

                          Harley-Davidson India - Motorcycles - Sportster - XR 1200X

Lets see how things work out. I guess it will be after June anyway. Hope the salary increment is enough to take care of the EMI's People will think I am completely nuts - if I buy the HD, I will have three motorcycles and no car.

And Jaisalmer on a HD should be fun!

Bajaj didn't give me a test ride even after I paid the amount in full for my Ninja.

Don't know if HD has the guts to give test rides.

@Killer instinct - I heard HD is giving test rides organized at Delhi during the first weekend of May, Hyderabad during second weekend & Bangalore at third weekend & also this serves as an opportunity to book the motorcycles.
