  • The amazing BatPod now up for grabs..read on!

Yes, you read that right. Zooming through the streets of Gotham, firing past cars and ziplining under a truck before turning it turtle, the BatPod created endless crazy followers ever since The Dark Knight created movie history and went on to win hearts the world over. And since that day, bike fans across the globe have been wanting to create something like this, something completely rule-breaking, out of the box & yet ride-able!

Well, someone has achieved that way out and the Pod is now up for grabs on ebay for a cool 100,000$(literally 45Lac rupees!). Believe it or not, the Pod is powered by a mighty 650cc liquid cooled 4-stroke engine, with 'direct port nitrous injection delivering amazing power in a compact shell if it were ever needed.' The front and rear tires measure a humongous 508 millimeters across and it is outfitted with grappling hooks, grenade launchers, and 50 caliber machine guns for those traffic jams on the highway. ( Fitted just for sake they dont actually work!) Also, while shipping the chain shall come removed and later fitted on when required( since it aint street legal but the makers are ready to turn it street legal by offering a little amount. I like that.)

Although, the machine used in the movie was powered by a 2 stroke Honda 250cc liquid cooled engine it was short geared to enable quick acceleration required to do all those glorious stunts, including the famous truck flip scene. Again, maneuvering the thing wasnt easy as it weighed nearly 250 kgs( due to the sheer tyre size n weight!!) and hence ace stuntsman J.P.Goy was roped in.

The makers say, 'the pod has never been ridden on the street but has been tested in a controlled environment. This one-off custom would be the perfect addition for the collector who has it all, or for a museum piece that will draw a crowd like nothing else', is what they have quoted on ebay( you bet! it will have crowds spilling over just to grab hold of this beauty)

Ofcourse as you may see the pictures dont do justice to the bike and boy one would love to lay their hands on this kickass monster of a bike! The seller has personally requested for a deposit of 5000$ if someone IS really interested in seeing the bike, but as for dreamers, no lottery tickets or notes from Grandparents about how much money they are going to leave you, shall be accepted!

So what are you waiting for, go rob a bank Joker style or hit your nearest bank for a loan. This truly is the coolest bike to be designed for a movie so far and going by the works, it looks a winner worth buying! What if aint street legal, just keep it with you to draw crowds everyday or simply hit the crowded road to blast past pesky autowallahs and cars alike, true Batman style

Heres the ebay link, the clocks ticking, 8 days to go before the hammer drops.
    Happy bidding.

Cool! just imagine the rolling friction with those monstrous tyres!

All: The seller aint fake but seems hes putting up something really exclusive on ebay hence some privacy i believe.

Sadly, the guns, and the grenade launcher are dummies( damn I want to equip them to the max and then hit the streets of mumbai blasting past erratic as ever autowallas and cars!!)

The Hoosier tyres were scruffed off by the edges in the movie, not as shown here, for grip and handling.

I think I'm really in need for some education here!! Not that I'm saying against the seller over here..... but I have serious doubts about the specs of the Bat Pod used in Dark Knight!! Since Chicago was used as Gotham City, and the entire cast and crew came for the premier along with the Tumbler and Bat Pod, and some how with some constellations alignment helping me out, I was there at the premier, so I got a glimpse and some small insight of the real deal!!

As far as I know about the Bat Pod engine -

Instead of a singly constructed unit, that Pod had engines located in the hubs of the wheels in order to create more room for the heavy armor required in the bike.

In order to keep the weight manageable, instead of the IC engine, both the engines were basically electric motor, which acted as breaks too!!

Well as I said in the begining too... I might be wrong and might be needing some education over here
Twist your wrist and feel the shift!!

                          My own thoughts - Throttle

Bad pod's concept come with motorized wheels (google it).
There was a show on Discovery which had some covrage on concept of batpod and its future usage.

Nice concept...but I think will take time to get practical.

                              Any how...I love batpod!
