  • Ferrari boss offers Rossi recovery help

JUST DAYS after breaking his leg during practice for Mugello MotoGP, reigning World Champion Valentino Rossi has been sent an offer of help by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo.

The Fiat Yamaha rider, who's tested Ferrari F1 cars on numerous occasions and is at the centre of ongoing rumours about an imminent defection to Formula One, has been offered the use of the company's facilities to aid his recovery.

"Everyone at Ferrari is with you at this difficult time," di Montezemolo said on Ferrari's website. "We are sure that you will be back on track soon, even stronger than before."

The Ferrari supremo has made it clear on numerous occasions that an F1 drive is on the cards for the nine-time motorcyle world champion, should he wish to take it. Di Montezemelo continues:

"If during your convalescence you feel you would like to do some training on four wheels, then remember that the door to Maranello is always open to you."

We can't see Rossi ending his MotoGP career this way. He'll be back for 2011, but after that?

    The story continues ...

My intuition tells me that Rossi will not leave MotoGP, at least not for few more years...

He knows he has fans out there, and after winning the '08 and '09 championship, he could have left, but he didn't.

As a fan, I would love it if he goes out for some joy-racing & time-passing on the ferrari, provided he's in the MotoGP too...

          One question here:
Why are we having separate threads for each and every news about Rossi?
Isn't there a thread dedicated to MotoGP?

All of us browse the web and read so many links daily that doesn't mean we start creating threads for each and every other link. There are proper place holders already for such topics in this forum itself

If we all do start creating threads it'll be more pain for mods themselves approving so many.
I don't understand why mods are approving such things....

          What are these threads for?

@author of this thread: It is good that you are trying to spread news and keep everyone informed but don't you think it is overdone by creating new threads for it? Or may be you want to get noticed in the forum hence you are doing it.

@Sumit: This is not solely about Rossi. These are all news stories. Hence, these go under the "News" section instead of merging it all under one common thread.

              Thanks.

Bro, maybe earlier the mods moved those topics into MotoGP Section Thread... and this member might not be aware of that thread.

Moreover, I suggest that all MotoGP latest developments be merged into one locked topic, with no member comments.
And this topic be placed in News section. This way, we'll know the news and that's it..

That other topic can be used for general discussion, about past, present, anything...

If you are here just for reaping news links and posting it up on xBhp then it isn't helping anybody. I would say it is more like having most number of threads started by you and boasting about it.
As I said earlier we all have the web at our disposals and we read so many things daily and we would want to share the info to our friends but doesn't mean that for every other link with a "news" label on is eligible for a new thread, you do it in the right place.
Also does one give a thought before posting it? Whether there is already a thread related to it, specially when the previous thread itself was started by him only? If one doesn't, he should...
This isn't a publishing platform where you just put up the links and vanish away looking for links to post on xBhp. This is a forum and look at this way when you create a thread you own it and you would want to come back to the thread and see what kind of discussion is going on and whether you can add some more value to it since you are the one who introduced others with your piece of info. But by the looks of it the author just wants to post "News" link and go "reaping" more news. If he cared enough to what/how he is posting on the forum he would have come back and answered to my post.

Edit: From one look of the author says it all. He is just "reaping" "news" from the web and posting here on xBHp which I don't mind by the way. A little bit of thought should also be put before the inception of new thread.

                  Thanks.
If that is the case then tomorrow if Rossi's dad cries or Rossi sneezes while they are operating on him, would that be a news and deserve a new thread? Going by this it sure does.
However I do not agree with this approach.

Agreed that this is a news but it is just a continuation of the Rossi's injury thread. It just creates a bifurcation of discussion from the previous thread and if somebody wants to really follow the development on some news, he won't be able to because the information is scattered in so many threads. And we all know how confusing it is searching the forum for the right information.
The purpose of the threads isn't just posting things without a thought but to provide information to like-minded audience and this is not at all helping the cause.
Anyways I am out of this one too just like so many other topics on xBhp. This was just a humble question/advice from a member; take it or leave it, doesn't matter right?

@Suren: If you cannot stay on topic, then, I would request you not to go OT either. Please take care of this, henceforth.

                    Thanks.

                      News Locked.

There is no real use trying to make people understand something which they are hell-bent on not understanding. I guess it's better to lock this "news".

                      Thanks.
