No offense. I was talking about the attitude of the manufacturers. I would be happy even if Yamaha introduces a 220CC. But with the Kawasaki Ninja lurking around, i was expecting a bike in the 250CC category from Yamaha. As usual, i was let downOriginally posted by The beast rider View Post

Guys, try forgetting this incident. Don't make a giant issue... I'm sure John backstage, would have consoled Rossi and explained that such accidents happen...Originally posted by rossiter View PostI think this issue is being taken too far. Rossi is a seasoned pro who has had his share of hostile crowds/mediapersons. Of course, it is bad that the incident happened, but one should take it as an isolated incident and let it be.
For that matter, I found Nicky Hayden's blog comments about his trip to India more damaging to India than what happened at the press conference.
For me, I say Rossi is a mature person. He understands that one "Voice of India" wrestler
doesn't represent the entire country...
About Rossi's visit, I felt it was great that he came here. He is a mature guy no doubt.
But I'm sure he was in for a "totally different experience",
I mean, seeing bumper to bumper traffic, seeing the R15 here, etc...
--
@ Rossiter: Bro, you shouldn't have mentioned Nicky Hayden here. Now, members will ask what Hayden said, and it goes on & on...

What if manufacturers ask...Be it a 250 or a 220...what difference does a meagre 30CC make???Originally posted by asim.mohd View PostI see that manufacturers are going after the 220CC capacity, what difference does a meagre 30CC make?

Anyways even after all the hoopla around P220 & ZMA/R remain the only 220cc bike around. Let others atleast reach there
No offence meant...just crossed my mind seeing the statement

None taken. Yes, i do think that since bike makers see this market as a mass, low power bike market, they might be excused to ask such a question. The taxes levied on imported bikes too aren't helping matters any. I heard that it is 160% of the bikes total cost. How ridiculous. All this to encourage the indigenous industry. And what do the indigenous bike makers to? they produce the same bikes all year round with just cosmetic updates. The Govt. should decrease the taxes levied on imported bikes to encourage a healthy competition amongst the bike manufacturers. In the end, the aim should be to satisfy the customer not the manufacturers.Originally posted by happybiking View PostWhat if manufacturers ask...Be it a 250 or a 220...what difference does a meagre 30CC make???

Truly sad. I shall restrain myself from using expletives against the said media. 2 thumbs up for Johnny Boy. And May God bless Rossi and tell him that there is more to India than what happened to him.10 Commandments:
1)Thank thy God for being alive.
2)Thou shalt respect one's own life and the live's of other road users.
3)Thou shalt respect one's own bike.
4)Love thy bike as thy self.
5)Always wear safety gear.
6)Alcohol is a strict NO!
7)Thou may lust after thy neighbour's bike specially if its of the R1 kind!
8)Thou shalt ride with 'ultra-most' care and caution when on Indian roads.
9)Thou shalt never leave the engine running at long traffic halts.
10)Thou shalt follow all of the above.

I m sorry to say you have wrong info...Anyways millions of dollars are spent in branding and launch of a product ; do you expect to know the million dollar answer to the most fiercely protected question to be easily leaked out??Originally posted by raman sriharsha View Post^^^^^u mean honda is gonna come with a 250 cc before yamaha ..but i had talked with honda officials b4 i booked my r15 and they said there is no bigger segment bikes gonna lauch with in next 6-7 months
You cant get answers to these questions from sales or management officials. Do you know due to severe product defect of so called lovable Unicorn; Honda almost went to the verge of shutting the line..The handles were falling off the bike due to poor quality Yorke. Its happened in 2006 with Honda. But anyone came to know of it "NO"
Honda is planning to beef up the CBR segment and will be in 250 cc segment.. but in india cross your fingers...There are many idiotic laws that can prevent it's launch...

I believe for CBU it's 108% of cost for components or knock down units its 24% onwards.. Anyways i doubt govt is anyways interested in protecting the domestic market...It's just they are greedyOriginally posted by asim.mohd View PostNone taken. You can use the "Photos" section of xBhp to upload the photographs. Or, what you can also do is upload the resized photographs to a third-party image hosting website, like Tinypic, Flickr, Imageshack, etc. and paste the "IMG" link here in the thread.Originally posted by ajaydhansu View Posthope it was nt me Rossiter Sir!!
