  • Hyosung Aquila GV 300

The Hyosung Aquila GV 300 was unveiled at EICMA 2015. The 275cc cruiser from the Korean manufacturer produces 26.6PS at 8500rpm and 23.5Nm at 7000rpm.

The Hyosung Aquila GV 300 was launched alongside the GD450, GT650R and the GT300R. This cruiser from Hyosung has a Fuel Injected engine, 5 speed gearbox and is a V-Twin. Keeping to its cruiser roots, the bike has a round headlight, a bit of chrome splashed around on the bodywork and a blackened engine case along with a 14 litre tear shaped fuel tank.

The engine runs a relaxed 10.3:1 compression ratio. Brakes are 300mm front and 270mm rear with a Bosch Two Channel ABS unit being employed. The 165kg bike has 110/80-19 rubber at the front and 150/80-16 rubber at the rear.

The bike looks good in the flesh and will probably replace the Aquila 250. This will be a welcome edition in the Indian cruiser market.

Really good looking one. But didn't understand the benefit of adding extra 50cc as the specs remain almost same in paper. If they can provide this machine with a reasonable price tag then it can be a success.

Not really sure if there is any improvement.
      It was 249cc with 20kW (26.82 bhp) @ 10500rpm and 22Nm @ 7500rpm Ref GV250 Aquila EFI < HYOSUNG > NATURAL HY.
Now 275cc with 26.6PS at 8500rpm and 23.5Nm at 7000rpm. May be engine is much more relaxed than a hi revving.

So... what happened to this bike?

Soon Hyosung will be like the Loch Ness Monster. People have heard of it, some believe it exists, but no one knows for sure

I'm tempted to buy the ST7 or Aquila Pro, but nearly everyone I know has heard horror stories about Hyosung's aftermarket service.

        Anyone heard anything new?
