At first, Looks to be a great buy ! ... But waiting for some more detailed specifications and few reviews before going for it ... Their site is having some issues ... Overall nice gadget but i am a bit skeptical regarding its specs

but 12k is quiet a bit for a videocon handset... but any day the features looks awesome to me..

I was looking to get a casio pathfinder which retails at around 9k --

with an additional features of FM & maps etc this phone @ 12k seems to be vfm

give a few months & prices will drop further

I have been using 2 cheap-er Videocons for the past ~5 months...
They seem to be good...and immense VFM for their dirt cheap prices..

Talking about this fone a slightly bigger display would/might have helped..

3.5 mm headset connector is provided that means it aint a 3.5mm jack on the phone..?

                Moreover:
Pre-bundled 4GB MicroSD Card with Preloaded GPS with life time validity

Does that mean if the memory card goes corrupt or under any circumstance you want to change....the maps vanish...?

I have a samsung monte with goole maps(with GPS) so I know my excat location, It cost around 9k. The google app takes up too much battrey. Would be intrested to see the battrey life of this phone. And how about this, they could give us a stand that can fit onto the inner side of the visor so that we can put the mobile up there and don't have to get down the bike to check our location...???

I really hope videocon has gotten their act together with this one. The price is not less.

I have personally written them off since:
Review: Videocon V1675 (Update: nothing better than a Chinese knockoff) | OnlyGizmos - Technology, Reviews & more

But to run MapMyIndia & full on navigation means that the platform would be a stable evolved one. Hoping for the very best for them for THIS phone!

The phone doesnt seem to be weather proof. No where on the site does it say anything about it!

I guess cracking the mil std810 is a tough nut for videcon!
