The two days of the team was spent catching up with xBhpians from the city, the most notable of them being PS Raghavan sir. It was an honour to meet him. His youthfulness at his age is inspiring and at the same time a slap in the face of the lazy teenager! A roadtrip is not just about riding on fast motorcycles, it involves a lot of work off the saddle. From arranging meets, to coordinating with members, to managing everyday work, it is an office on the move. For the majority of the time, the hotel is actually considered the office. You are forever on holiday at the same time as always being at work. And Chennai became a hot spot for catching up on a lot of lost time.
But all work and no play makes the GICR Team very dull!!! So we went around exploring the city in search of something other than good food. And we saw the sun rise on the majestic Kapaleeswarar Temple as we tried to click to our heart's content. But the sun rises only once in the day and we missed it at the Marina Beach. The not so beachlike beach of Chennai makes for interesting sight. As you will find more Chinese Fried Rice Counters than Dosa Counters there! We visited the Vivekananda House, a war memorial for the soldiers who lost their lives since the first world war till date and enjoyed clicking with the waterproof Samsung Galaxy S5 at Marina Beach!
