The Model X Reloaded is a concept from the British company, though with an Italian owner. Even though it is still not certain whether the Model X will see production, but if it does, then the numbers will not exceed 100 units in a year.

The Matchless stays true to its British lineage in styling and mixes retro styling with modern technology quite well. The saddle, forks and suspension are fully adjustable along with a host of other features which ensure that the rider stays comfortable and safe, including its 12 piston front brake calliper! The bike is powered by a 1916cc v-twin engine.

Matchless is one of the oldest marques of British motorcycles, manufactured in Plumstead, London, between 1899 and 1966. A wide range of models were produced under the Matchless name, ranging from small two-strokes to 750 cc fourstroke twins. Matchless had a long history of racing success.

Oh my god! I remember seeing one of these daily growing up. Matchless motorcycles is a name which was one of the most exotic and rare bikes one could find. Having an old matchless would turn heads irrespective of the bikes condition. This bike lives up to that name. Its just awesome.

Yet not kick start, I really though at least one of the manufactures would get it back if they are so bent at going retro.

Retro or no brother, the kick start would serve no purpose on any modern bike. See these new bikes have electronic everything (they'd make the rider electronic if they could ) and ecu controlled bikes cannot be cranked manually. Besides can you imagine trying to kick start a 2litre v-twin? You'd break your foot off before you managed to crank it to one single turn.

But the older harleys and indians were kick start, and they were near 2 liters. Also I am interested on how ecu bikes cant be kick start, the humble glamour pgfi is ecu and it has a kick not to mention the continental gt . I am sure as it was the case with 1978 bullets, a decompressor should take care of the kick back problem, I am not saying that the bikes should be kick only, but the addition would add say, an embellishment ?

Older Harleys and Indians were all kick start and they had decompression levers whic brought the compression down to kick startable levels. They were also less than 1300cc, the new ones are near 2litres and they don't have kick starts. The glamour pgmfi and bullet fi pulsar fi are all basic fuel injection bikes with fixed ignition timings so they can be kick started (but that doesn't mean kicking it will be a walk in the park except maybe the glamour). The decompressor is available on any bike with variable timing which none of the bikes mentioned by you have. And trust me (I own a bullet) if decompression is not done right you'll still have kickback. That is why bikes like ktm duke and above (variable ignition timing) come with electric starters and not kicks.

It might sound tedious, as will the wrong side gear shift and complex maintanence. But there is a peace and feeling of fulfilment in it that just can't be found in thumbing the starter and taking off like a rocket. Maybe I'm just romanticizing the idea but you'd have to do it to understand.
                          Btw, its decomp-kick, recomp-kick or decomp(hold)- kick(immediately recomp). Its a crazy process.

Wait a minute so you are saying that that the older bullet 1978 had a variable ignition timing? Well I never heard of it, but anyways, yes, I got your point, but still the manufactures could have come up with a kick option on a lesser cc bike just to keep the retro charm, I mean as you mentioned there is nothing like the experience of kick starting a bike, something organic I suppose.
