Re: Kawasaki H2R revealed at Intermot

Tyre cost and everything will be high. No surprises there. But I hope there will be enough grip... Its a regulation size (190) with softer compound and racing slick construction. Dew drops on the racetrack.... or just cold weather... will it still give enough grip? I hope it does, Kawasaki must have thought of something.
That Kawasaki River logo on the front fairing.... Its so unique & beautiful at the same time.

As a creation, its magnificent and beautiful... Acceleration is all great. But, won't racing be mostly pointless on it? Its "closed course" but I hardly see a "use" apart from racing. Or maybe collection/ showcasing.

I mean, what will this H2 compete against? With 300 bhp, I see it lurking far ahead with even an average racer onboard, on a track like BIC, against experts on bikes like S1000RR, CBR1000, etc.
Unless all riders have this particular bike only, won't it be a non-competitive form of obvious dominance?

Can it make for exciting nail biting competition, which is the very essence of professional racing? Its good for lap timings or mocking competition, but it took a Supercharger after all... Even if they win in a competition, the fact remains that they cheated by having a Supercharger while others didn't have it.
Its like a CBR 1000RR rider beats a Pulsar 150 rider in a race, and by a huge margin, but does this race make any sense at all?

For Kawasaki, its showing their technology prowess, agreed, but what's the point of all this for the end buyer, except for facing a few G's of force once in a while? or maybe showcasing/ bragging? And creating some laptime numbers that are purely the motorcycle's achievement, and not the rider's?

    Don't know what to say..
I will follow this bike's news, reviews and updates. I want to know what owners will do with it...

Some things are just meant to showcase a company's dominance in a certain area and their overall technological advancements. This beautiful creation belongs to that category.

      Kawasaki H2 = Mind Blown.

      Ride safe and have fun.

Kawasaki might have just pulled a fast one on others. Omg!!! Drool worthy! These are the stuffs motorcycling dreams are made of. It will be an exotic, collectible, show off, insane..am running out of words and breath myself. Am locked on to this thread for further updates, reviews. And did someone just say 300 hp!!! Am floored, phew
Even though it won't adorn my garage for sure, it will definitely make it to lappies n walls

I'm in love!! Loving the slick tyres! I'm not liking the carbon look of the fairing that much, but i guess they used it to make the bike lighter and give the advantage weight to power ratio.

Agree, a mean looking machine fit for next transformers movie. The performance numbers are impressive and power output is just out of the world but I want to really see how it fares on track and how much control the rider can have of this beast. The carbon fiber and fins on the headlamp might only come useful under very high velocities may be not even on track, more like speed testing to set a record. Love the exhaust though.
Just because Kawasaki came out with this product doesn't mean other bike manufacturers can't make something like this, they probably just don't see the point (now).

                  Re: h2 video format

As someone mentioned earlier This machine is to showcase their technological dominance in respective field for marketing purpose & brand building. This very easily leaves the mark on anybody thus imprinting the brand Kawasaki, and notice the punch, they named it Ninja, and i don't think our current ninja(250, 300, 650 etc) is any where related to technology of this monster Ninja( may be in future, who knows) but its strongly pushes the brand Ninja.

Its not like other brand like Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha cant make this kind technological marvel but its management decision how they want to promote their brand. nad in process they manage to sell 1-2 bike/year globally it will icing on cake.

Anyone guess how much will they price it if offered in market?

And i am also thinking of the test ride driver for their R&D team. Does that person really driven that bike still in testing phase at those high speed and monstrous acceleration literally pushing the limit of bike to get the feedback from and still lives to give his feedback to engineer for further design enhancement. Very scary Job!

That bike is dirty. na, I mean literally, it could use a jet wash.

I like those front spoilers. They must be adding tons of weight when the bike is doing 200+ KPH. Good for stability they are but I don't know how the bike will behave when it's leaning at the corners. I know people don't generally do knee down at 300 KPH but just a thought.
I think kawasaki will make road legal version of this bike later on.

                      Re: h2 video format

there were a whole bunch of people saying the H2R looks too aggressive and the design's been overdone.

personally i LOVE the design and think it exudes exactly what Kawasaki were trying to say.

i would have hated this to look like a potato (think Y2K).

This definitely goes on my bike's to own list with the Brutale and the MT-01.

                      Friggin' gorgeous!

I am so lost in the pictures. I mean literally, this thing is so much gloss and carbon fiber I had a head ache trying to figure out the details in the design. Damn. This is not necessarily a bad thing though.

And those wings! I bet that's never been seen on a motorcycle before. This one seems rather interesting.

Somebody have to push the boundary .

As they says: " We are legendary bread, always revolutionary, forever fearless"

there is huge difference when we compare a [road going H2 vs S1000RR/HP4] and a [blade vs p150]

H2 is not displacing anything more. It takes serious research and engineering efforts to produce such things. That justifies the river mark.

In more mature markets there is a place for such products.

On another note, at 200 HP at crank, 1 L street spec bikes where almost approaching a limit, only way to push further was artificial aspiration aids.

                          All my opinion.

Did Kawasaki just unveiled a demo bike at Intermot? Looks dirty and full of scratches to me, even our local car wash guy can do a better job at detailing than that while being drunk.

Fine pieces of technology, and engineering marvel, but in my opinion, it is just "technological masturbation" like the MTT Y2K. Serves 0 practical purpose.

Such a beautiful machine. Almost made me weep. I see a lot of questions on the need for such a machine. I humbly disagree. These are the companies that are the forefront of creating technological marvels. In time a lot of these these developments would seep down into less expensive and more average bikes.

See the thing I love is they are constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved. If the whole world thought like most of us Indians do, we would all be riding the Tata Nano
