  • Finally it is all over, almost. Yesterday the whole excitement almost faded for me when I heard about the mishap involving Hitesh and a very precious life. We are again reminded of wearing a helmet always. We met Hitesh in Agra and his enthusiasm was something to be witnessed. It is good to know that he is out of danger now.

Cutting things short for the moment it was great having some of the xBhp Delhi members, specially cheering for Chintoo, AnuragAshok with his wife, FreeRiders and GODS.

I also once again congratulate each and every xBhpian around the country for a job well done with us. Hopefully we will scale more heights and do things which matter rather than just being an online community. It is good to feel that we are one of the key instruments that are shaping how motorcycling will be in this country of a billion plus people.

So the trip and Passion hunt ends with the following facts:

    Idea proposed: June 2008

    First preparations start: September 2008

Recession hits everything goes in a tizzy, idea almost shelved but we dont give up

    Preparations resume December 2008

Roadtrip flags off 1st Feb 2009 from Delhi with xBhp, FreeRiders and GODS

Event flags off on 6th feb 2009 from Mumbai with John A

    First was Mumbai event

Then we covered Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkatta, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore.

Roadtrip ends in Pune after a full circle. Kms done : 12,950 kms with No accidents

    Online Winner chosen.

Finals held on 22nd April 2009 - Winner Decalred: Malcolm from Mumbai.Runenr up c_sbk from xBhp a very close second.

I also sincerely congratulate the core rider team comprising of one and only Old Fox (who was the youngest of us all even at 41 and counting ), Sunil G (the chocolate boy) and Shailay. It would have simply been not possible without any one of them no being a part of this.

      • Congratulations to Malcolm Ilavia. I saw your photo at the website, and the thought which came instantly was "What a nice guy he seems..."

and who was that online winner? with 56,000 votes??

at the rate of 8000 votes/ day, 500 votes per hour (that is assuming that Delhi votes for 16 hours/ day)

Very Fair! I am still wondering was it a flaw in the website construction, that may have made possible to hack it?

                        • How did Prakrit Thakkar make it? His profile has only 1278 views, as opposed to 58000 votes??

How can votes be more than page views??

I'm sure something is strange. Maybe the site was hacked??

But, anyways the event is over and there's nothing we can do now ...

                            • Yeah, it does seem like something fishy is used.

I felt bad because I woke up every friend in my city to vote for me, and this is what I get?

@ Sunny: Any comments on this "difference" of 58,000 vs 1278? And my request is that in any such future events, The Moderators and admins should Rate Our Profiles yourself. That's it!

Don't leave any scope for such cheating... Do reply back. Thanks.
