and for the sake of curiosity and repeatation, why no mention of GAD and xBHP?

Edit: @DK: right, and espcially since he rode from Mumbai to Pune I wonder why that line!

      • From my understanding it is because of lack of time and narrow focus from the journalist's end when she was interviewing Bluevolt.

Anyways let us hope in the future that the club also gets mentioned when as a major supporter and catalyst when we do anything like this,

kudos again to bluevolt for completing the ride.

        • Well, when this reporter called me, she only seemed interested in asking about how the Mumbai-Pune stretch from a travel point of view for their readers. I talked about xBHP and that is how she got the 'Pit Stops route plan' from - she seems to have copied the 'Pit stops' from the xBhp website but DID not credit xBHP at all. Inspite knowing that this ride was xBHP.

          Aarghhh...

            • ^Hey BlueVolt/Rahul: We all understand... we all really admire the cause and we know how effecient some of the reporters are when it comes to covering things like this.

Dont worry I will personally settle this with the Twitterboy and jack his twitter account

              • Guys Guys!!!!

I have no idea how the "GIFT A DREAM" ride became just another ride from MUMBAI -PUNE on NH4.

I am tryin hard to get through the reporter but she seems out of reach. I specifically told her that this is not a normal just-another-kind of ride but a special ride for a special cause.I told her about XBHP and GAD.She said that since she is buzy her friend would be interviewing BLUEVOLT and take the necessary details from him.

All this content is not drafted by me but that journo KARISHMA MODI who took Bluevolt's interview. Just to light them up and begin intital conversation of what this is all about I told about GAD and XBHP on the day Bluevolt was to arrive PUNE.

Well this is the CUT-PRINT-EDIT world..... there is less we can do.
I better not crib about this much to the journo else next time she wont be there when we need media.Since Pune Mirror is no2 paper in Pune...cant just afford to break relation.

I was frustrated even last time when our XBHP goes Green news was converted into something " blah blah riders trying to make up for the harm caused by burning petrol blah blah planting trees" .....

Nevertheless I will speak again to the journo. Lets see if she has got an explanation for this.
Really was disheartened not to see XBHP mentioned anywhere... but then who needs media to spread the fever of XBHP.Like they say "Birds of feather flock together".. we will always be famous and always be growing no matter whether we are covered or not. Cheers!!!

                Adios Amigos!

                  • I was happy to see bluevolt and the GAD ride in Pune Mirror, but later was disheartened to see it reduced to just Pune-Mumbai stretch, which especially compared to rest of the trips, hardly qualify as the best one. In fact, my personal opinion is that this route is THE simplest long ride any newbie should do to learn about highway touring (that's how I learned it).

Pune mirror dumbed down the cause a great extent, reducing a noble cause to just a weekend ride thing. Shame on Pune mirror! Don't lose heart, bluevolt and Sunny, for many of us, this ride reminds of xbhp and the courage of the tourers!

Thank you everyone! This trip was made far easier with the help and support of many from xBhp. You guys rock!

The bike held up amazingly well, with only paint chips and wear due to small objects hitting the surface, especially in the rear. But my puncture kit stayed unopened and I never had to use my foot pump either!
