Yeah, I thought so!! But they were not serious about checking. It was more of a show-off. They did not allow me inside as I had a laptop!! I have been to places where there were heavy security checks but in those places they ask you to switch on the laptops and cameras(click a pic or two!!) for checking!! If they think one can fit in a bomb in a laptop(err mine was a netbook which is slightly bigger than the old nokia communicator!!) man it would be as well posible to fit the bomb in a DSLR and they have allowed at least two people infront of me with DSLRs with those big tele-lenses!!!Originally posted by Sunny View Post@kk: AFAIK the security that you were talking about was precipitated by the bomb scare and police was there catalyzing it. The organizers security was only at the kart kave entrance (after the initial security at the bad deposit gate).
Anyways would have been good to have you there.
Buddy, I was out of office at 5:30PM, reached the venue at 6:15PM. I spoke to sagar about me coming to the venue a bit late. I tried calling everyone who i thought would be there to inform any one in our gang brought their car so that I can dump my notebook, but I could not reach any one on the phones. Either their cell phones were switched off or out of reach or they could not hear because of the sound of explosive exhaust!!! Still I thought of going to home to put my laptop and make it back to the venue but that tussle with the bag depositing fellow removed all the enthusiasm to come back there!!Originally posted by HydBiker View PostYou came wearing a balalclava or what? and refused to take it off!
They were unnecessarily rude and bad but were not disallowing anyone. At least could have called me earlier to inform you are coming.
PS: The police behavior, well I dont know if that can be changed in other locations, but yes the organisers can be firm with the security agencies which will be hired in the next locations to act decently with the people who come to see the event. I guess the Security agency involved in Hyd event wasnt doing it as a charity!!!Last edited by kkrk2; 05-06-2010, 01:30 PM.Cheap and Reliable is not Fast, Cheap and Fast is not Reliable, Fast and Reliable is not Cheap!

Henge saar? From 4th block, one straight shot down RV road, and a right after Corporation circle should have him in the venue in about 30 min. Wouldn't be too much traffic at 3 pm or thereaboutsOriginally posted by vas View PostAre you sure its not the other way round considering CBD traffic?
PS: not everyone is having a SeXy4

So what if I have a SeXy4?
And will park up in CCD Square in all likelihood."Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

Whatever the traffic, bike can reach there faster than a carOriginally posted by rossiter View PostHenge saar? From 4th block, one straight shot down RV road, and a right after Corporation circle should have him in the venue in about 30 min. Wouldn't be too much traffic at 3 pm or thereabouts

Jayanagar 4th block complex, take RV Road. One straight road down RV Road, take JC Road, head down that road past Town Hall, and at the next signal (St. Paul's church if I'm right), you're about 30 secs away from the venue.
Otherwise, use Google Maps man.

Its Hudson Memorial Church! There is a space where in loads of imported cars are parked behind Kanteerava, next to Hudson circle.Originally posted by rossiter View Post

Ah yes, Hudson'sOriginally posted by Makky View PostIts Hudson Memorial Church! There is a space where in loads of imported cars are parked behind Kanteerava, next to Hudson circle.

And that imported car place is a cramped service station, which will not allow public parking, if that was the point of your mentioning it
