    Congrats for the new bike buddy..
    talking bout the heat factor, you should have a look at yamaha...the temp for my bike rises upto 115 degrees at times, otherwise 100-105 degrees is the regular temp. plus its worse during peak hour traffic, yamaha advices you to stay away from idle.
    Regarding the exhausts, i think the stock cans are the best for your bike. Changing/modifying anything on a superbike would be more like challenging the superbike engineers, and you know whos the best here After all, you now own a sportsbike, not a commuter bike.
    Finally, i would just like to advice you to be safe. I know im the millionth guy tellin u that. Personally i ride my R1 generally 80-100kmph within city limits (for those limits i guess the acceleration and braking figures are excellent on these bikes).

        i couldnt get the plates cause of last working day for the week
        hopefully on sat

        im very carful man and the road i drive is a very deserted road with no cops even then i dont take more than 2 rounds short 10 kms max cause i know if i get caught then im in a lot of trouble. well i guess 2-3 more days now

        clover is it well ill check it out and some other brands too harley has some good collection but they all have the harley logo pasted in huge fonts on their gear. will check out the other showrooms as well. o yeah i remember ducati has an amazing collection of gear but must be too expensive.

        i guess all i can afford is the slip on

        can i later by the complete set for the particular slip on that i would have bought???

        btw jay do u have full or comprehensive insurance. im trying to make full for my bike???
        Good news man! Finally you've gotten the regn done! Well yeah with God's grace I am gonna procure a comprehensive insurance cover for my bike.

        Also my recommendation is that you first concentrate on running in the engine and also look into buying yourself some good protective gear. Remember dont compromise on the gear ...coz this is what makes the difference.

        Helmets -look for Arai, Suomy, Shoei, Nolan ,Shark, AGV. All of these are excellent!

            @06r1

            speeds in saudi are much more than in india and much more attainable. 80-100 is nothing for a bike here. but even then i shall try to restrict myself to these figures to learn the bike. the stock mufflers are boring they need to go.

            @busa

            hey dude looks like happy times have started rolling enjoy ur dtay in mumbai and post lots of pics of ur ride with ur sbk buddies i bought myself a KBC helmet even before i bought the bike man.

              The Two bros pipe link that you have put up is not for your bike. Its for the '06-'07 10R. Don't end up buying something that won't fit your bike.

              For sound, you can't beat Two Brothers and Jardine.

                Doesn't it get a bit irritating on a long ride to have a loud as fvck exhaust screaming continuously? Sure it sounds great initially, but on a really long drive... wouldn't it get fatiguing?

                    i guess u are right but then touring is something i will be doing less of and mostly city rides etc. we have 2 twin cities here and three higways between them so those serve my long rides.

                    well i hope it dosent get fatiguing???

                      Nope, its mostly a myth. Atleast when you have a good helmet which drowns out most of the sound.

                          Yes but, its difficult to get online from the US. Being a European brand its quite expensive compared to the two I mentioned earlier.

                            Like I said in the other thread, it doesnt matter. Rip her hard enjoy her to the max. There is nothing you can do to harm these modern bikes (read: other then crashing them)

                            If you just need sound I would suggest go to a good mechanic and get him to take out the baffles out from the stock exhaust, why waste money. It will sound good I gurantee you.

                            Get some nice kawasaki Joe Rocket gear, its cheap and good. Get a decent lid for gods sake. I would strongly suggest instead of gaining bookish knowledge you go out ride and gain experence, I would also strongly reccomending getting in touch with local groups and get some hands on knowledge there. Again dont waste money on a exhaust, in todays world its nothing but mere bling.
                            Locking the front and flipping is the worst experience you could err experience.

                              Guys, getting a comprrehensive insurance is a tough job in this part of the world for bikes. Unless you have someone to push your application in the insurance company. Or else they might charge you with exhorbitant premiums with "No Repair with Agency" kind of thing. I knocked many doors and finally AXA came to my help. But they emphasized on a ' No Claim ' certificate from my car insurers. Possibly some sort of validation process to confirm that i am a good driver
