But why would you like to get rid of the pops and bangs on the decel?i have the stock air filter havent changed it. dont feel the need. i have been reading a lot about the pc3 and newer pc5 which is out and thinking about it. i only have the 2 brothers can i might think about the 2brothers juice box. well nobody has told me about the flames cause im always on the bike and my friend behindme on the car. i guess ill tell them to check it out over this weekend.Originally posted by insaneroller View PostAsk someone to ride behind you to see what colour flame is it popping. Blue or Red. Accordingly I can tell you what to do with it.
Sorry havent read up, so need to know if you've changed your exhaust & if so do you have a PC3
has anyone used the 2brothers juice box personally cause everyone is only talking about the PC3
manav and all can u check this site out. Ivan's Performance Products he has the tre for about 60dollors i think. i dont really wanna go for more preformance mods. im happy with the bike and satisfied for now.

Kar1zma or should I say ZX-10R
To be really honest, it wont make any difference, how long are you planning to keep the bike. Just ride it as it is, it doesnt make much difference. Remember what I said in the beginning of the thread when you were asking about the running in? Stop putting in money on mods and start investing in some good gear. You have 150 RWHP right now. Thats a LOT brother.Locking the front and flipping is the worst experience you could err experience.

@manav
i am seriously not interested in ANY performance mods. i find what i have more than enuff in fact sometimes i feel more than i need. i read on the zx10r forum that i shoulf get a pc3 to soothen out my fuel.air ratio as the bike is running lean to prevent any damage to my piston int he long run

Yeah, thats true. I suggested the Juice box because its much cheaper and it does the same job.Originally posted by kar1zma View Post@manav

if its popping too much, then check the flames. Red is running rich, blue is lean. I dont understand why would any1 suggest to keep the stock filters. Change them right away if u've put in decent amount of miles on ur bike.
Red flames is not going to damage, so u can chill. Blue is an issue. If you have a full system, then for sure u require re-mapping. Hence pc3 is necessary, if its only slip-ons & pops red flames then your are Ok. My microns slip-ons pops red flames, still i went ahead with the pc3 for power generation tweaks.
Hope this was of some help.Last edited by insaneroller; 01-15-2009, 02:56 AM.BMW X5, CIVIC

So its sorted then, at next service get it K&N'd and get a Juicebox in there. I would reccomend it over a TRE because of ease of install. A fender eliminator wont look too bad either

I'm pretty sure it would be running lean. And putting a free flow filter in a lean running engine would lean it even further.Originally posted by insaneroller View Postif its popping too much, then check the flames. A few pops here and there with the slip ons over a period of a few years is not gonna do much damage.sigpic StreetFighter

It all depends on the colour of the flames. My microns used to pop alot. But the flames used to be red, so it wasnt an issue.Originally posted by Streetfighter View PostI'm pretty sure it would be running lean. And putting a free flow filter in a lean running engine would lean it even further.

Does your ecu alter AFR automatically or you messed with the O2 sensor? On a bike which doesn't I can't see how it could run rich? I was always under the impression that modern bikes run lean on factory settings due to emission norms, supply more air and you lean it further.Originally posted by insaneroller View PostIt all depends on the colour of the flames. My 14 doesnt have a O2 sensor - strangely. 10R will have the O2 sensor, usually all bikes have. However, its a simple thing of checking flames colour to derive at the conclusion. So no point in getting too technical & into ECM altercation etc. It aint rocket science mate.BMW X5, CIVIC

I'm not technical myself nor am I getting technical, I'm just trying to understand what would make the AFR go rich by slapping on free flow exhausts.Originally posted by insaneroller View PostMy 14 doesnt have a O2 sensor - strangely. 10R will have the O2 sensor, usually all bikes have. ok guys havent checked out what colours the flames are yet
but the bike is about 3000kms now when is the next service due. according to the book i think at every 2500kms or at every 4000kms
can i start using synthetic oil now. can suggest me some fairly std and widely used synthetic oils and brands

Dude, before my advice becomes bad advice. I saw my earlier post. The colours are mentioned wrongly. Its BLUE when its running rich. RED/YELLOW/ORANGE when its running lean. Sorry about the mix up. You should look into this as a first priority.Originally posted by kar1zma View Postok guys havent checked out what colours the flames are yet
