  • G'day All! I am finally here

G'day fellow riders... I am finally here on XBHP and addressing my coutrymen (straight from the movies )
I have been away from home for a little while now and finally have plans of coming back in couple of months. I have slightly lost touch of what's happening in INDIA when it comes to biking, models launched blah blah.

I know SBK have finally touched our shores and could be a common sight by the time i'll be back. My current location(NZ) has introduced me to the some of the best roads I have ridden on. Ohhhh, my ride is a honda CBR1000F which will go in a day or two as my initial plan was to get something on the likes of Rf900/zx750r,r6 etc.Basically something lighter so that i can play n do some track days. But a sudden change in mind set has forced me to ponder and today I am in a need of some serious sensible advice.

I can buy a bike right now like a 97 rf900 and spend couple of months riding and traveling before calling it quits but is there a way I can get my bike home? I have been through some forums taking about how to import bikes home but most of the threads have quite ambiguous info (unless I am looking at the wrong place). Yeah so is it possible that I can get a 14 yr old bike home. I won't mind paying a %150 duty as the bikes that I have been eying on are bloody cheap. If not, what sort of bikes am I looking at in India now. are there some good second hand bikes available ? 400cc or 600cc will do...won't mind a liter bike but I still need to get my knee down

I hope someone out there has more clarity on this and wouldn't mind sharing it.

    Have a good one

    Ride Hard, ride Safe

    Cheers!

    Welcome to xBhp!

Where are you from in NZ?

Also for importing you might want to read this http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...ey-import.html

400s are rare here, 600 - you might find, but more often than not they will be a gray illegal import hence would advise you against it. I would also request you to take your query to the thread mentioned.

Rest, post up more pics of you and your bike soon!
