congrats. build a good relationship with your bike. how ? you ride her as much as you can. you need not go on long weekend rides, take her out at every possible opportunity ... short rides so your family is comfy. enjoy the bike.Mountain biking on impulse with my wife and our bike goes down in water

hearty congratulations on the new acquisition. better look up a yoshi or an akra for her , but the stock note itself is very delightful and louder than a busa I believe....Last edited by <F.I>; 05-29-2011, 07:56 PM.Torque...because sometimes testosterone just doesn't cut it..

Congrats Diehard . Is this your first superbike ? Enjoy your ride! I would love to see someone trying to race with you from the lights thinking its a plain jane Fz-16 and then wondering WTH as you speed away
!! Love the look of the exhaust pipes though the end can seems a little tame for a street hawk IMO ! Ride safe bro !!

Oops! Sorry, I'm bad with names. I meant Chandrashekhar only. He's a nice chap too.Originally posted by diehard View PostThanks a lot Tibby, i dont know if venkatesh is there anymore. but there is another service manager for CBUs - Chandarshekar and yes Mr. Gurmeet is really a delight to talk to !
And Young would be in the head dude (not mature enough for a superbike) but im getting old man im 25 now
:P
SBK at 25! Where do you work dude?
I guess you're talking about BangaloreBikers. I'm not a member there.Originally posted by diehard View PostI will try my best to ride with u guys even yesterday when i spoke to John he said there was a ride happening today were a Harley was comin apparently but its difficult for me to convince my family to take the bike out on long rides so i promised him a photo shoot soon will catch up with u there
"With great power, comes great responsibility" - Spidey to the rescue eh !
yes i know its a huge huge responsibility to own this monster of a bike not only a responsibility to keep myself safe but its hugly extended to keep in mind the safety of people around me be that family, Pedestrians walking on the road etc need to be really really level headed to ride it. This is something i remind my self everytime i get on a bike. yes when your young to do tend to get carried away pulling wheelies and riding fast but we got to mature someday.
Was talking about the xBhp small rides that happen on Sat-Sun.
The family acceptance will come soon man. So long as they don't kick you out, you shouldn't complain.
Good to see you realise the enormity of the power leap. Ride safe bro.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

the only nagative on the fz1 is its huge exhasut... and it doesnt sound loud as many think.. well not sbk loud
(but bttr than other stocks)
i ve a thing for loud superbikes
want the bike to sound as good as it looks.. not noise loud but music loud
its actually safe too considering bangalore traffic.. ppl gotta make way for the bike

the 1 st thing im going to do is get rid of that exhaust and get the bike talk to me
@diehard: BTW u named the bike street hawk

Yep The name "Street Hawk" is from the Street hawk episodes from 1987+ well basically as a kid i used admire this serial and i dreams of owning a crazy bike began from here !Originally posted by shrinathrao View PostHey die hard, congrats for the beauty and the name street hawk reminds me of the black, sexy and powerful bike which used to come on doordarshan a few years ago.
Awesome machine, wish you and your beast safe miles for lifetime.
