Yeah, now P200 seems crude, used to feel at home with it. It being a rev happy bike, and CB1000R being low-mid range bike. It feels like I'm strangling my P200 every time I drive it. The CB is so much easier for long rides. As it made P200 all the more relaxing and comfortable to ride, no more pushing it for thrills..

Thanks for the post moto, will do my best to riding safe cheers bro!

haha..ha.. I don't know if I'm celebrity, just feel anxious and sorry every time I get stared at. More than the excitement, most people look at it out of sorrow, wished they bought 3 cars for that money or paid their loans with it. Not a good feeling living it up amongst so many who suffer, if i had a choice, I'd love to experience all this without hurting anyone.

I am enjoying my ride, very much. Somewhere I owe everyone on this planet for giving me such privilege. Will always keep the rubber side down, hopefully :P

            Cheers bro!

@blackslide, Congrats on the cb1000r. Looks amazing. Well I agree with you about all the excitement of getting a liter class bike. I just went thro the same by buying a quarter liter cbr 250r just 2 days back.

As quoted may time....With power comes more responsibility ...I wish you would make it a habit to use rear view mirrors ....in your quest to become perfect rider.

All the best and good luck. Drive safe as monsoon throws extra challenge to the rider and bike. Regards.

@blackside, be mentally prepared, I'm gonna ask you thousands of questions, so please bear with me
What kind of fuel does the CB run on ? How many kms does it run on a tank full ? Are you using it on a daily basis or as a weekend ride machine ? And lastly did you directly finalize on the CB or you compared it with something else and decided on this one
                  Thanks !

Thank you surya for the wishes. Yeah, any upgrade especially when you love it gives you the rush, glad you've experienced the same!

The more that i ride the more the quote comes to life "With power comes responsibility" It is scary, and tells you peoples lives are at stake at every corner and every twist of your wrist. I'll keep that in mind.

Rear view mirrors are really good, I don't mean to make an excuse but rather as a personal choice not to use them. Mostly because I have to drive through city traffic and even in my P200 I've had issues with it touching or hitting people or objects. I'm used to riding without RVM's.

And surely monsoons are demanding on Superbikes, have to kit up both myself and the bike, as for riding safe, I should I don't have a choice.

Thank you fireblah, read a lot of your posts and about your CBR1000R beautiful piece of machinery. Still do contemplate of not owning one instead of CB but also contemplate of having to handle that kinda power in Indian roads. May be I aint grown up enough for a CBR yet, until then I will sure enjoy my companion and certainly for years Good day bro!

I was mentally prepared when i bought the bike :P lolz.. Been answering barrage of questions for the past month for everyone! Go ahead target and shoot :P CB runs perfectly on just ordinary unleaded petrol, that's regular petrol on our bunks. Speed or xtra premium would do good as well.

How many kms on full tank? actually I never checked yet, I will post when I do.

Its a daily use bike for sure, but I avoid it when I wanna just have a quite day and just take the P200.

Why did I finalize on CB? Actually its fuzzy, one, being in tirupur (Tamilnadu) availability and service are two major concerns. If I were from a metro may be my choice could have been different. But I did have reasons for having CB and not anything else in comparison respects. Wanted something that suits Indian roads, a super-bike but not too powerful, well mannered handling and yeah looks good It suited all these needs.

I tried a few bikes from different stable, Suzuki's and yams. Suzuki was a bit mean and the handling was not very impressive, Yamaha is a high rev bike I hardly could enjoy them on city or on most roads (I know people will have their differences, this was just my own experience). I wanted something I would enjoy driving 90% of the time and suffer 10% :P not the other way around. If CBR600 would have been here, then that's what you would have seen me riding good day bro! cheers..

Ha..ha, well I was just lucky being born to some fortunate people. But being in this forum, I've learned a lot of things. One of the things I've learned, is no dream is too far, if you sincerely work towards it. Many have saved up to buy their first super-bike. And I really hope you get yours, you are 18 and have a great life ahead. Probably in the next few years the duty and taxes keeping super-bikes in-accessible for many, will come down or Liter class bikes will be produced in India. By all means you will get your dream full filled cheers buddy!

^^ Is today my lucky day or what ! Was passing by a small Honda showroom in my locality and to my surprise saw the white Beast standing there, first I thought it was a CB Twister, then I realized that its none other than the CB1kR ! Asked the ricksha-wala to stop, said mom to proceed towards home, ran like a kid towards the showroom, with a limp and there it was, standing right in front of me, waiting, like a Space ship ready for take off, asked the showroom manager if I could click some snaps to which he politely said yes, and then spent the next 45 mins with the Beast, simply awestruck and mesmerized, but also found out many things bout the bike, firstly it has single sided swingarm ! then the headlight, are they adequate ? And I also inquired with the manager bout which kind of fuel does it run on, he said, it requires Speed or Power, or anything better than that, and lastly the heat, does it heat up quickly and easily in city ?

Haha..ha my god buddy, wish i could give you my own bike for all the heartfelt love you have for it. I sure wish you all the luck to get a superbike of your own in time, wish you the very best. Yes there are single sided swing arm's in many bikes, even on BMW GS1200's and that is an off-roader to say the least so single sided swing arms are good to go. The headlight certainly is damn good in comparison to any Indian bike, but it's still not adequate for the speeds it could reach. Speed or power is just a suggested petrol and not mandatory, just ordinary unleaded petrol is good enough, speed or power is alright too, anything more like speed 97 or the likes is not recommended.

Heat builds up when the bike is new and your riding it frantically, but as you get used to the bike and you ride it right, even in the city it stays very much within range and I mean its not a bother. But, you still feel it and it does build up quick within city.
