Sometime Sept I visited the showroom and was planning to book a 796, The manager was supposed to comeback to me with details and never came back, also I was ready to make an advance and they never pursued. Was surprised but just dropped idea.

I'm having the same experience like Vishwa. Made the booking almost 3 months back and now they say amount would be refunded.

I'm yet to receive the booking amount though, meantime I happen to ride FZ1 and planning to go ahead with that.

Interestingly bank folks are. Very discouraged to do business with Bangalore showroom.

Ducati Bangalore dealer gave me a refund cheque which got bounced today. When I called them (the showroom manager) they said let me check, I'm very sure that I will have to take the legal route. For those who are planning for Ducati from Bangalore I would recommend to do sufficient ground work before giving 2 lakh advance.

To me it looks like they still have trouble, wish they were reliable

                @prash_nair

this indeed is intriguing. a premium superbike dealership doesn't even have 2 Lac rupees in their account!!

wonder how would they pay their employees. i am sure a hug wouldn't satisfy them.

but surprisingly the ducati website has the dealership right there. gurgaon dealership went missing when the bikes were getting sold at massive discounts, bangalore dealership wasn't there till a couple of weeks ago, chandigargh is also not up yet.

i am sure they would be doing something about it - irrespective of what the owner is involved in otherwise.

I'm yet to find out what is Ducati's stand here, Bangalore issue was mainly because the owner's association with some other business which put him in trouble. But what was really interesting was, the bank guys (HDFC) whom I was dealing with told me they completely stopped funding for Ducati all over India mainly because Ducati ran away from taking any responsibility of the dealer issues happened all over India mentioning that is not their problem.

If media attentions comes this angle I'm sure it will hurt Ducati's brand image. I hope things turn good and these folks come back in business, would be good for all the Ducati lovers here.

tried calling the dealership on saturday and surprisingly (or not so) all the numbers were either switched off or were changed.

                        will try it today again.

Are you sure there was a SF there? Ducati officials deny they have any SF.

Yup its a SF and they also have a white monster , they even had a Hypermotard on display next to the SF for couple of days .

I see only bikes on display but there is no one in the showroom.

I have been following this thread for a while now and also read about the Gurgaon dealership shutting shop.

I may be wrong, but for a premium brand like ducati which has sold a reasonable amount of bikes (I agree monsters mainly) since their entry into India, dealers closing one after the other somehow gives me a feeling something up at Ducati-India office does not seem to be OK. Otherwise how could they be sitting silent, when the brand is taking a beating especially after a mega launch in bangalore etc. while bangalore surely is a prominent part of any superbike dealership network. Normally the delhi or bangalore dealer who invests huge sums of money is definitely not looking at recovering it in 4-6 months on such premium brands and unless something is really driving him against the wall, he would not shut shop in such a suspicious manner. As for the bangalore dealership owner's suspected association with whatever scam.... it does not mean that the concerned guy under the scanner is making sales & deliveries in the showroom. It would be a separate entity doing a perfectly legal business and we are not aware of any media reports saying the govt has frozen his assets or whatever...

Its the Ducati brand thats taking the beating and if Ducati dont come forward and set things right its their loss.

Right on Haroon, completely agree. At the moment the brand name is pretty much destroyed. I personally know quite a few people who would love to buy a ducati but buy other brands due to this mismanagement.
