please do post your initial reviews. planning to buy a bunch of them between us friends.

anyway - back to the original topic - is the bangalore dealership actually closing down? did you get the deposit back?
Will post the initial review in couple of days.
Yes, I got my refund through wire transfer. I was told that my booking is still on and they will call me as soon as they receive the bikes. Never heard from them after that. Manager is not reachable now. For all practical purpose (new bookings) they are closed. One of my friend got his service done though recently. That means they are functional in some way. I also know that they did 5 or more refunds. That's just absurd if they want to stay in business.
I have no clue what the real story is.

            Hello Mr.Nair,
I am Sudesh from Coorg booked the Monster in Banaglore show room in Sept and none of the people from Ducati are reachable now.I mailed my problem to their head office in Italy. After 25days a person called Mr.Manish called me and he gave me 2 land line numbers in Bellary and told me to find out the absconding dealer myself.when I asked him if they don't receive the phone, then he gave me a funny answer saying he will give the numbers of relative's of the dealer. ( if the relative doesn't pick up the phone, then may be the Ducati company will give the number of the watchman, sweeper in dealer's house)
Also he told me Ducati is no where connected with this booking and this is the matter between me and the dealer.when I asked him about the receipt with
from Ducati,he said they permitt the dealer to use it.
I never expected this kind of experience from Ducati.have you got your advance amount back.if you have filed the case, let me know the lawyer's number so I can take the matter legally.kindly help me.you can reach me on 9741213436.
            Regards

It is sad that you too have to go through the horrible experience. My experience also was the same as yours. I've filed a legal against them already (but you know it will take its own sweet time)

Anyways I will PM you with lawyer details.

Surely I will contact your Lawyer.never had such a horrible experience with any of the auto maker till date.
I think now there is a new Ducati dealer in Koramangala and the Person from Ducati saying they can't help with our booking with Matrix Agency.

this is not correct , did ducati place an advertisement informing of the closure and that the dealer does not represent them...???? if not file a consumer case against ducati ( cannot believe am saying this ) but the company cannot treat a client this badly....post in all their official sites..their dealer represents the co..any termination needs to be intimated to the public....also what the f@#$ were they thinking when they appointed the dealer.

Oh man, what a mess. I got out of a Streetfighter purchase from the Mumbai dealership because they were acting very dodgy even before I put money down.

I feel what you guys are going through, and if there's anything we can do as a community, probably go down there with you and give you some moral support in form of numbers, let the community know.

rossi bro even you got that from the in-famous ducati dealership in mumbai.

i fail to understand why is the importer/mumbai dealer putting in so much efforts to trouble innocent bikers.

lagta bachpan mein kisi biker ne zor ka jhaapad mara hoga - that's why they are behaving like this.

                          on a serious note :

i fail to understand how come they have been escalating the prices of the bikes so much? i mean almost 30% escalation in the prices of a monster 796 in past year and half or so is like HUGE!!! heck the indian journalists are making a price increase of 3000 on a 6 lac rupee car a front page article!!!

                          what's wrong here??

                            no problem

If you can wait a bit longer for the bike, please do. The check wont bounce as the company is very credible and has a reputation to keep.
there is no problem with the layout or anything......... the problem is that the boss of the showroom is stuck in some big problem.. (finance) so the showroom is closed.. dont ask me how i know... but i do..

there is a chance that it may come back maybe after 1 year or transfer of ownership

well, there obviously seem to be some problem with the dealership.
it is very unprofessional of any dealership , leave alone ducati to render such bad customer service.
ducati dealers around the world are very prompt and helpful.
my worry is are these so called dealers official ducati dealers?
i was checking the official website , it shows only 2 official dealers
1 ducati mumbai atria mall ( store / service and merchendise )
2 precision motors poonam chambers ( store only )

that means every other dealer country are bogus , does it? i would believe so.
i would only buy a ducati from official dealers only, when i purchased my SF, there were other dealers in the country which offered me a better deal , but i stuck with the official importers of the bikes from the factory. atleast i bought myself piece of mind.

cant any one try and uncover this issue and go public with it ?
drive safely... if not for you then for the sake of others!!

And as far as I know, every automobile dealer has to put in some amount as a security deposit to the parent company. Which takes cares of such situations(not sure though). If you are thinking of legal action make sure both dealer and Ducati(maybe Ducati India head) are involved. And for speedy resolution try Consumer Forum Court too, they are a bit better than regular courts.
