  • Traffic Light GPs

Recently TWO Magazine featured an article on the best bike for winning a traffic light mini dash. The bikes that were featured were:
    • Zx14
    • Fireblade 1000RR
    • Rocket 3
    • BKing
    • Street Triple

Guess who won - The Suzuki B King. The bike was also proclaimed to have the ugliest rear in the motorcycling world today.

Personally I find the superbikes (specially the Fireblade) very exciting to launch in a drag. They require a lot of attention and clutch management. Once in the powerband they go like a slingshot.

Share your experiences about which bike do you think is the straight line king. The Hayabusa wasnt featured because a similar category bike (zx14) was already there, and nevetheless the BKing has the hayabusa motor.

How about the same thing in a Indianised format!

No doubt the RD will kill all, but lets talk about whats currently in the market is the King! (Stock only please)

My Take: The newly launched Suzuki GSX-1300R

              Sunny, you missed the Harleys.
With a little Screaming Eagle accessories, Harleys can take off a lot faster than almost all the sports bikes, ofcourse, after some distance the sports bikes will smoke the Harley hollow.

^ Haroon, the magazine did not feature any Harleys in the article. Also I just rode with a Night Rod and it wasnt anywhere where close to giving a struggle to the R1 despite the rider being very good. I dont know much about Harleys so i guess you must be right.

Yeah Sunny, I just noticed that the magazines missed it.
I mean right off the start for a few meters, the Harley will take off faster, but its a matter of few more meters only before the sports bikes....

^Yep I get what you mean and why it may be like that. The Harleys have much longer wheelbase which lend insurance against them flipping over on a hard launch, unlike superbikes which can flip over. hence in drags they use a drag bar which protrudes from the rear end of the hyper bikes and prevent them from wheeling over.

I thought this thread is related to GPS {global positioning system} which can show signal to signal info. Confusing title nut reached the right place, What about Daytona 675R?
