    Daylight Robbery. Charging 5000 for a Grab rail which is anyways made for every bike. Back in Dec-12 I paid 800 for the same and got it fitted even before I took the delivery. I don't think fabricator will be able to make the exact replica, also you will need specific bolts and washer to fit the grab rail which is not available. I know this because I had tail box mounting kit fitted sometime back and when I went back to my old set up of grab rail I lost the bolts to fit it and it costed me 1250 for 2 bolts from Kawasaki. Check if someone visiting Thailand can get it for you from their official service center. I don't think it should cost that much. Also check with nearby KTM service outlets if they have grabrails from accidental bikes which can be given away at some cost. If nothing works then no choice but to pay 5K and get over it.

      Hi Sachin , yes I did try that approach, checked with the SVC guys , I guess I just have supreme bad luck , they had a few grab rails but it was either the right hand side ones or from the older Er-6n. One of my friends is in Thailand right now, will check if he can bring it down. Thanks for the tip [emoji1]

Your midori is like a collector's bike to me. It would be interesting to see how many miles you covered on your midori (my guess over a 150000).
              Just out of curiosity is it another Kawasaki coming in?

                Sad to see that the Midori is gone.. But I am sure it has found a new home which will be better and also this mean that you are getting something better and bigger.

                I hope its either the Versys 1000 or Tiger or probably the African Twin. Waiting to know what's next.

                  All such comments and feedback are highly appreciated. So Thank You! Yes, she was a beauty. Jack of all trades. I am sure she will clock as much as one is willing to ride her along with proper care.

                  I did 84,000 kms in 4.5 years before I bid adieu. Rajasthan, Kutch, Countless South India Sojourn, Bhutan, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, SS1600K, King of the Road 2500K are some of the most memorable rides I have done with Midori. Japs never dissappoint and are build like a tank. When the whole world has moved to the tech game in motorcycle, this one did not even have ABS, yet the simplicity of motorcycling can be experienced by riding such a bike where everything is dependent on the rider and his skills. Having no fancy electronics meant there was nothing that could go wrong and hence, all this bike needed was timely service and parts replacement to keep her going the distance. Midori did just that

                      He had put a very in-detail explanation about all the costs incurred with regards to parts changed, service charges, fuel and aftermarket accessories added in a google spreadsheet, you can search for it in this same thread...

                          I am not sure how fruitful it will be now to look back into my expense tracker as most of Midori's services and part replacements where done when Kawasaki-Bajaj Tie up was active. That time the labour cost and overall billing was much more manageable compared to what it has become now. It costed me 800 bucks to purchase left grab rail back in 2013 and now a friend had to pay close to 5000 for the same thing.

                            Thank you sir for the prompt reply and thanks for the advice as one of my cousins was going to get a new Cbr but no luck and he came across a pre-owned N650 and the price was also around 4 lacs and he asked me for a advice so can you tell me as you got the bike serviced from a FNG, is the bike really complex to be serviced by on our own or the machine is really complex.
