I think there is a security function denoted by security key icon, if the bike is rolled for 500mtr or so without starting' like someone trying to roll away with your ride without actually putting in a key.
Immobiliser icon glows and bike does not start for some time even with the key then..
I am not very sure of all this theory , but I saw the icon glowing on my ride while coming back from gangotri.
I was short of petrol and was tryingn to cover distance without the engine running. I turned the ign off , after a while immobiliser icon came on and bike refused to start.
I though I was screwed with not even mobile network available.
That icon went away on its own after a while , something like 15mins with key in ign on position.
Bike started just fine.
Although I did not find that in owners manual.

Let me congratulate you for your new acquisition. Wishing your many more happy miles on your ride. Nice sticker job on the helmet, but I would suggest you to stop using this helmet ASAP sir. I do not mean to scare you, but this is the same brand and model of helmet that a friend of mine was using on his motorcycle. He had minor fall from his bike but fell face first and the helmet basically broke into three pieces and fractured his entire face. I not telling you this to scare you but to warn you about the quality of these lids. Congrats again on your new bike.

I am using normal petrol (91 octane) since the last month without issues. The compression ratio of the Harleys are quite low and can easily run on lower quality fuels.

@shyguy - Thanks for your concern mate. But one of my friends son was saved by the exact same helmet. So its your word against mine.

Hearty congratulations on this beautiful machine sir.
Although I have always been oblivious to the Superlow on my visits to the magical place i.e.HD showroom. Hey they keep the Nightrod rite at d entrance - im only human
But the way u presented the pics with apt description it gave us plenty of time to appreciate her.
Im sure this thread is gonna hv a butterfly effect here on the xbhpians

I would completely agree with "eminemjohn". I have read your thread umpteen times on TBHP and XBHP. It has been been pictorially enlightening to know the details and the nitty gritties of owning such an iconic Motocycle. Well, have been so impressed that on this year's Independence Day booked mine also. My very own HD Superlow xl883 but then again I will need to wait for another 8 months before I own it.
