And again as with most of us who got disappointed with triumph's pricing ( I was waiting from that day of Auto expo for two years to be shocked by the final outcome)
Finally decided to opt for a pre-owned bike.
The wife kept on insisting on a new one and in particular the newly launched N1000 (touring perspective) but somehow in my mind it just doesn't justify to pay so much money for a product which in reality costs only half of what it is worth here.Same reason I found the triumph prices atrocious even though they have a CKD facility.
The search started with FB and forums and friends circle.
A lot of pain it is actually as many of you already know especially dealing with dealers.
After a few choices and flip flopping between so many bikes (not clear papers, not maintained well, shady middle men ,half truths half lies) me too made an opinion to go for a new one when suddenly this beauty popped up.
The reference was good, the history was known and the person in the same vicinity and group of common friends.
Its a end 2005 CBR1000RR in excellent condition.
New tyres.
Devils aftermarket exhaust
Full servicing done recently.
The only glitch was the asking price since the guy had spent 30k only recently on it.After some days of negotiation arrived at a mutually agreeable price and just closed the deal.
So the new year began on a "dhoom" note

The wife ain't really too happy with it because the pillion position and seat sucks (also the primary reason why this guy wanted to sell it)
Convinced her on the money saved and finally i am just enjoying it the way it should be.
Just riding it with limited spare time I get and enjoying it to the hilt. The speed ,acceleration and thrill is something way beyond words and needs to be felt.
Guys from Mumbai xbhp were excited and kind enough to ride to my place to see and ride this beauty.
All are cell phone pics so not great. Will ask MG for one day of shoot
.PS:The parents don't know. For them its a "friend's" bike kept with me for sometime. so whoever knows me don't post of FB
