    The oil used was Motul 7100 10W40. Costs about Rs.800 per can.
    You should check out the Honda superbike maintenance costs. 6k for oil. Apparently they fly an engineer to a superbike owner's house.

    Any active Honda owner?

      I am writing an email to kawasaki official about this and aftersales, service exp which is on lower side when compared to competition.
      Will write about different labour charges across city (chain cleaning) as well.
      Let's see what they say.
      Please keep me posted if you get a response. I will also see if I can find a way to get in touch.

      Not sure about Honda but I was going by Triumph and Yamaha owners experience. Both are lower. Niks said his service comes to about 5.5K for his FZ1.

          Infact Z800 service interval is 12K KM but I guess for India they changed it to 6K KM.

          Manual still talks about 12K KM and there is nothing in writing about 6K KM.

            Yeah, I'm aware. I was told that change is made only in India considering Indian fuel conditions. Hope it is not another way of money making idea!

              Firstly congrats on the bike

              Can you please confirm the mileage
              City = ??
              highway = ??

              I am looking for a bike, currently cannot decide between street triple and Z800.
              I have lot of information from this tread.

              I would also like to know if there are any heating issues, I will predominantly a city user, daily 55 kms commute to office.

                Interestingly had a discussion on today's ride with a Fireblade owner in terms of after sales experience and cost per service. I was surprised to hear him say that Blade service cost all inclusive comes to around 5K. What they said is that Honda service centres use Honda Full Synthetic oil which costs only 400 rs/litre.

                Thats really good I would say!

                  Wow! I didn't know that! I had seen a Pune owner's experience and thus thought it is same for all Honda owners!

                    Absolutely no heating or city riding issues for me except for the attention you get.

                            Talked to Kawasaki Pune about available accessories.

                            1. Tankpads - 1500.
                            2. Radiator Guard - R&G - 7000
                            3. Frame Sliders - R&G - 8000
                            4. Paddock Stand - Kraftework - 2000
                            5. Paddock Stand - R&G - 4500
                            6. Windscreen - Puig - Forgot the price :-(
                            7. Swingarm Spools - R&G - 3200

                            They also provide slipons:

                            TBR - 45000
                            Racefit Growler - 65000

                            Surprisingly, the showroom guy said it wont affect warranty at all. But recommended to fit only after 1000 kms.
