Disappointed reading your problem & the way the service personal undertook it bro. I can't imagine how they can treat their customer who has shelled close to a million bucks buying their product. It's ridiculous.
This is the problem in India. No manufactuer has 50% customer satisfaction. Even though you may be a satisfied customer but there will be a dozen who are unsatisfied. It's appalling. And it's not even a big issue. Its just a battery That's just hardly 1.5% of the actual cost of their product. Our local grocer gives better guarantee on the stuff he sells.
Hope your roadbuster serves well & good without problems from now on.

Sourjya Guha Man, so sorry to hear about the incident. I hope n pray that you do not face any issue with your roadbuster ever.
I was wondering what happened to your updates suddenly and then assumed you must have gone abroad like many software engineers.
Is there no one to whom you can complain about the 'Headless head' in Pune. He must learn his lesson which he failed to learn during his MBA days.
It is not the issue which bothers the owners. It is the treatment they are served by these 'headless heads'

Sad to hear about this. Looks like a battery issue or a charging subsystem failure. I had a similar issue on my brand new , virtually out-of-the-showroom N250. Never had a problem after battery replacement.

BTW, I didnt hear from you while I was in Bangalore so couldnt get in touch.


This problem was very specific to that version of the Fireblade. Someone I know owned it and you could literally drain out the battery riding around in the parking area (from what I have heard).

Exactly. I understand a problem might occur to any manufactured thing in the world but I do expect them to handle the situation like a half decent brand at the minimum, which they failed miserably to do.

Battery is perfect now. No issues faced since. Simple issue and easy fix and they made a circus out of that.

Looks like same here mate. No issues since the battery was replaced. One lemon hopefully !

Sorry about that. Didn't check here at all all these months as I have been very busy. Had some discussions with hifisharu regarding meeting up but did not materialize. There is always a next time mate

The 10K Update !

A very happy new year to everyone ! And I am an uncle to a lovely nephew now ! Yay !

First things first, Since the battery replacement my beloved Roadbuster has been running flawlessly again, taking in the Bangalore caters in its stride and happily chugging along with me, to everywhere we desire

Sold my first love, the R15 - how i miss her !!- and that meant the Roadbuster is my daily driver as well as my weekend thrill. And boy oh boy isn't she a girl next door who could metamorphose into Rosie Huntington Whiteley- who else did you expect- in no time ! Also, using her daily has made me feel much more familiar with her behaviour in all kinds of situations- slush, trail, pothole ridden roads, quarter feet of standing water and everything else hell throws on roads around this part of the world !

She has gone through her 6K kms service. The bill amount was around 6.5K (with oil). Got the Motul 7100 from a distributor and saved 100 per bottle! Also, have it from Motul themselves that 7100 would last 10-12K with no problems. Whereas 300v is race spec and is suggested to be replaced every 4 - 5K kms. I had this query with me like forever.

Got a puncture on the rear that couldn't be found after multiple Scotland yard searches. No leaking valves or bent rim either. Filled up with 'Tyre Protector' from 'X-Torque' and have since forgotten what punctures are. It costed 1500 inr for both wheels.

The little vibs that used to exist at the pegs in and around 6K rpm have disappeared. Feels like butter under any condition ! I have much more confidence with her now, thanks to the everyday rides. She doesn't feel as heavy any more either. Speed at which I can tackle twisties have increased drastically which means thinner chicken strips after a twisty session. Also, something I would have never expected, the seat is brilliant !!! I did 600kms in a day, to Chikmagalur and back in around 12 hours through all kinds of tarmac, which is the highest I have ever done in my lifetime and there was pain almost everywhere in my anatomy except the posterior. I would also hold my riding pants responsible for it to a certain degree since I have clearly observed complete reduction of back stress since I have started to use it !!! I have heard many times that a hard seat is great for long rides and now I believe it ! The lights are plenty sufficient for highway runs at safe speeds and would not need an upgrade.

What's coming next are a dreaded visit to the service center at 12K kms which should happen around February, a detailing job which I plan to get done after the servicing to get rid of the swirl marks and micro scratches and, of course, chomping on many more miles to a plethora of new places !!!

Gear and Accessories:
1. Got myself a helmet bluetooth from aliexpress for around 2K inr. Works wonderfully well with music and calls. Have not used the intercom yet. If anyone else uses them do let know if and how they pair with the 'Senas'



2. After having ridden her day in and day out, I realized it is imperative that ear plugs and pollution masks are used unless I want an early age deafness or death ! Got a mask with active carbon filter and boy do they make a difference. Its enthralling when you watch a smoke dispensing auto shoot all of it at you and you cannot smell the noxious fumes but only see it !


3. A fork cover and a stand foot extender. With all the dust around, it grinds the suspension and the little foot means the bike starts to sink in slightly soft ground but no more. These are again simple inexpensive products got from aliexpress. Works perfect.



4. Big One ! The rear tire. Ordered the Michelin PR2 180/55 from snapdeal and have it stowed away at home. Will replace them around 11K kms as the markers are
starting to go flush on the stocks at around 10500 kms on the ODO. The tire is made in Thailand on the 41st week of 2013 and got them for 9750/-


5. Luggage carrier - Picked up the Viaterra Raptor. Thanks to its easy in/out from the bikes, I use to for my office as well as weekends. Sad part is one of the bungee got unfastened over a pot hole, the bag slid and rested over the exhaust and that burnt the bag from one side and made a hole right through. Still usable. Have made
enquiries from Viaterra for repairs. No response yet though. Meanwhile, made sure the bungee are fixed at a safer place.



And the best part, the rides during this time !
Would not jaggery-jag much about each and every ride and will allow the pictures to do the talking !

Great to see your passion in updating the thread. By the way congrats on the lovely machine (Although it's too late to wish ).
Do you still work for CGI? If yes, then we should definitely meet up. I work in a company right next to you. Aahh by the way I do see your bike at least once a week in yemalur.

Also we should meet up for the ride. By the way I picked CBR650F 6 months back, just lazy to start the ownership thread .
