I have definitely loved the exhaust sound from Yoshimura exhaust for Street Triple 765! With DB killer also it still is really nice especially in higher RPM range!Originally posted by augustine.muthu View Post

Very good, balanced review by Augustine! Quite commendable!Originally posted by augustine.muthu View Post5000 km Review
Riding Experience for the 5k kms
Augie bhai - you should have actually published your own separate thread and it would have been much more popular!
But thanks for sharing here as well!
Update from my side
Recently got my bike also serviced at BUB and it came to about Rs 6600 (Full Servicing + regular service kit such as oil filter/air filter + rear brake pads OEM). Oil extra (about Rs 2800 for 3.3 litres - Motul 300V 10W40 grade). I did the annual minor service ahead of time instead of September.
My bike has done about 22-23000 kms by now (difficult to track exactly as I got my speedometer console replaced under warranty in September 2017).
One more thing:
Just after the servicing, I did a short ride, found an open stretch with minimal or no traffic and no people or animals crossing in the early morning times!
I whacked the throttle in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear and continued to 6th gear also...The result was hair-raising! Bike rocketed to 207 kmph by 4th gear, 219 kmph by the 5th gear and to 226 kmph in 6th gear...It still had juice left but I had to let it go due to traffic that I spotted in far away distance (and that distance could vanish super quick at those speeds - so better to back off always).
Unfortunately I didn't have GoPro fitted this time around so didn't capture these moments...Fun while it lasted!! Quick shifter definitely enhanced the feeling of all this!
Of course, I don't recommend doing such things frequently and one has to be super careful. Please be within your limits always.
But I can say confidently that Street Triple can keep any good rider entertained for many years. Unless you are obsessed with idea of upgrading to 1000cc class or higher, there is really no need!!

Stalling symptoms were seen once again in recent itimes - so I can say depending on dusty conditions, one is likely to face it once in about 4-6 months. I didn't wait for actual stalling - I am sure it would have stalled soon - and got the throttle body cleaning + motor adjustment + air-filter cleaning routine done (about Rs 1800 + tax when done outside annual service and outside warranty....I recently got it done within annual minor service i.e. 30000 km service though my real mileage is 23000 km approx).Originally posted by kkamaleshh View PostHi jeevan any updates on the stalling????
Another thing I have learnt is that one can mostly overcome stalling by being a bit conscious about it and adjusting throttle manually to avoid it. In general it is more likely when bike is highly heated due to bad traffic and high ambient temperatures.
Manual idler for 675 version seems to be globally out of stock. For 765 version, people haven't reported stalling yet.Last edited by jeevan.chaukar; 06-28-2018, 08:06 PM.

Thanks for teh detailed review.Originally posted by augustine.muthu View PostServicing cost:
800 km servicing cost -
Rs 4,477/- for oil change, oil filter, washer sealing and labour
1 year/10000km servicing cost
Rs 6741/- for oil change, and oil filter, washer sealing and labour . This includes a 15% discount on labour that Triumph runs prior to monsoon every year.
Mods - Stock Arrow vs Yoshimura
Can you elaborate a little more on the service intervals? Is the 1yr/10,000kms interval a fixed interval?
What about oil change interval?
Also why is the cost for teh 2nd service more than the 1st one?
As for modifications, will installing aftermarket parts void warranty? Whats the standard warranty period on the bike?

The service internal is every one year or 10,000km which ever is earlier. The warranty period for the bike is 2 years. It is critical that servicing is done at specific intervals as specified in the manual to avoid any warranty lapse.
In the first servicing the major cost was the cost of oil change - the cost of oil filter, air filter was not much.
Second servicing is more in depth and in addition to oil change it also involves throttle body cleaning which bumps up the servicing cost
As for modification or using parts which do not come from Triumph accessories is not risky but the rider needs to choose between quality and performance. In my opinion it is good to go for triumph accessories so if there is any issue with performance, Triumph will own replacement and warranty is also intact.
I had given my bike for servicing with after market exhaust, while I did not face any problem with performance so no question of warranty going void.

So basically you will have only 2 services within the warranty period? I assume the first service will be very early on like at 1000kms or so?For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Triumph Street Triple 765 5000km review
If I may suggest, then do check out United Insurance as well. I got a quote of around 24k for year 1 from Yamaha Showroom (MT09) but after negotiation it was down to 10k with zero depreciation (with the same IDV). The 2nd year was roughly 9k . Do check out other nationalised insurance firms (like Oriental Insurance/National Insurance etc.)Originally posted by augustine.muthu View PostInsurance : Zero depreciation insurance can be renewed for the first three years, though there are few insurance companies offering zero depreciation beyond the 3 years. Insurance for the first year cost Rs 20,500/- . I am yet to renew the insurance, quote shared by the showroom estimates the second year renewal at Rs 17,000/- online renewal may cost even less.

No, you will have 3 or more services during warranty period. First at 1000 km, 2nd at about 11000 km or 1 year, 3rd at 20-21000 km or 2 years.
However, Triumph arranges some free check-up camps that cover few basic service activities 1-2 times every year and you can also take advantage of that to get few things done like Brake Pads cleaning, Throttle Body Cleaning (you will need to check which activity will be under "free" list and which under "paid" list and decide what you wish to get done).
Also, while manufacturer has stated 10000 km interval, practically not everyone will rake up kilometers at the same pace and you may either end up with early services because of more regular running or you will end up changing oil etc at 7-8000 km as it will already be almost one year by then..

Jeevan

Guys, please note that IFFCO Tokio Insurance is giving up to 10 years Zero Depreciation. It is a bit on the costlier side but I found the process ok (I also have a very good contact person in IFFCO Tokio so that also helps in speeding things up). I will be sticking with IFFCO Tokio rather than anything else.Originally posted by chiku181 View PostIf I may suggest, then do check out United Insurance as well. Meanwhile, here are some snaps of my Red Rose today :-)
She had become totally dirty through last few days owing to horrible level of mud on the roads and non stop rains...Finally sun shined for sometime today and I got her foam washed and polished....
One has to accept by looking at these bikes - imported bikes have a build, fit and finish that our locally made bikes are nowhere close to.
It has been 3 years almost now and the bike is pretty much like new, there are no rattling sounds, no loose nut-bolts anywhere. The seat has not lost its shape or firmness nor has it become overly hard. Suspension is behaving very much how it was originally on day-1. Engine smoothness is to be experienced to be believed!
Surely I do take care of this bike - but that I have done to even the Indian made bikes that I have owned (Yamaha RX100, TVS-Suzuki Shaolin, Bajaj Pulsar, Yamaha RD 350 etc....Among all those bikes, it was the TVS-Suzuki Shaolin that was most trouble free, reliable, fast and smooth always...Next comes Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi V1 - while it wasn't refined, it was enjoyable - and it was reasonably reliable..RX100 and RD350 were sheer delight but they were not reliable.)
Mind you that this bike is being used almost daily in areas which does have potholed roads, dust and grime...Also I do use this bike on open highways where we ride at a rather fast pace. I am riding it in rainy season, summer season and of course winter as well...Never there is any starting trouble, no hiccups, nothing in general.
The only fly in the ointment has been the speedometer console. I got it changed once last year under warranty as tachometer glass developed a crack automatically from within. After about 1 year from that point, once again, even on the replacement console, similar crack has automatically appeared. I have not done anything to bang the surface of tachometer - there is no visible mark of anything falling onto it etc. The crack is totally automatic - not caused by external force or damage.
Have informed Triumph Service Centre about this issue - let's see what happens. It clearly seems a manufacturing fault.

Re: Red Rose - my new Triumph Street Triple 675 RED!
Update:
By the end of September 2018, my bike has completed 3 full years of ownership and it remains a great performance bike just as it was on Day-1.
This bike has helped me gain far more confidence in riding and I have become a faster yet safer rider with better cornering skills than what I was 3 years ago.
Here is one of the recent videos - have fun!!

1) Brake Pads - I have opted for Brembo Front Brake Pads as somehow I am liking their feel a bit more than stock Nissin pads. This is not to say Nissin pads are not good - they are really good as well.
2) Rear Tyre - I went ahead with Metzeler Sportec M7RR 180/55ZR17 once again. So, I have switched between Pirelli and Metzeler alternately by now and I definitely like Metzeler more. You can find out earlier in this thread about my views regarding Metzeler M7RR.

Few more points about the above:
Brake Pads: I asked few fellow riders who also ride same model of bike to test and they surely felt that my bike has more bite at the front brakes. And this comparison was done by people who very recently changed front brake pads but they opted for Nissin (stock brake pads from Triumph). So, verdict is that Brembo pads are only marginally costlier and it is worth that extra price.
Tyres: Some of them also felt the same way about Metzeler M7RR tyres - that these tyres improve confidence in tipping into a turn and somehow it feels easier to execute the turns when on these tyres even in comparison to costlier Pirelli Rosso Corsa stock tyres that come with Street Triple.
Other tyres that got compared are Michelin Pilot Road 4, Michelin Pilot Power 3 etc. PR4 has quite long life but they are absolutely nowhere compared to M7RR in terms of grip. Metzeler Roadtec 01 also exceed the grip of PR4 as per some riders. Pilot Power 3 is supposed to be equivalent of M7RR but that is also not the case.
In normal road riding conditions - dry and wet - M7RR are #1 choice among available options for middle weight sports/supersports bikes. I haven't done track so don't know if M7RR match/exceed Pirelli Rosso Corsa on the track - probably they won't.
Engine Oil: As I have been continuously using Motul 300V 10W40 oil in my bike since 2 years, I asked few fellow riders to see if they feel any difference and the verdict is that my bike is indeed feeling smoother compared to other bikes with similar mileage and age (approx 3 years age and 25000-30000 km done as my bike is now 3.25 years old and 27300 km done approx).Last edited by jeevan.chaukar; 12-25-2018, 03:21 PM.

How much did this cost you? Is it necessary to did this on a new bike only or can a few years used bike also take advantage of ceramic coating to protect its finish?Originally posted by VipulKol View PostExpensive....but peace of mind.... ceramic coating

Re: Red Rose - my new Triumph Street Triple 675 RED!
Depends....They will charge between 16 to 24
All depends upon whether they take the upper top clear coat off...then make base paint correction....then reapply clear coat...then ceramic coat finally.
Second, not much use if "base" layer is badly scratched. If the bike is premium .. spend 25/26 and get the proper paint correction and ceramic coating done....
Easier (cheaper ) way out for older bikes would be the new turtle wax or once a year Maquire polish...
