Yes, dear bro, surely I will keep it safe - no doubt about that. Thanks for all the concern to fellow rider! I am not speeding randomly and seek very early morning timings on rather deserted roads where I am not near any village or anything when I hit the high speeds. Similarly I do some power bursts only on flyovers where I know there can't be anyone crossing the road suddenly etc. I am surely following lot of survival tactics that I learnt after riding various sizes of bikes through the years.

Only problem I face is - I am unable to follow ATGATT policy though I truly understand it should be followed. While going to office it is impossible to wear all the stuff and there is no place to keep it there...Also it is impractical to carry separate office wear in back pack and then get into that wear after reaching office etc..

Moreover riding gear also gets hot under scorching sun and we can't bear it long in jammed traffic (as long as you are moving at 60 kmph, ventilation of jacket, helmet etc works. Else you get completely sweaty inside and it is impossible to take bath in office as it is hard to maintain a separate wardrobe in office...

This is the only thing I would love to correct but unable to..

How did you get your helmet from Munich? Checked-in luggage or hand carry? Any special precautions or problems faced.

I may be travelling to Singapore sometime in October and would like to buy a helmet from there.

Check-in luggage. But you have to clearly inform them that this is a FRAGILE item so needs to be handled with care. They will tag accordingly. No separate charges involved as long as you are overall within weight limits of the given trip.

Don't forget to claim the VAT refund before exiting a given country (Singapore I am not sure if VAT is very high or not - if not then it may not be worth - EU has 19% VAT of which you get back nearly 15%)

VAT refund can be time consuming - so keep 45-60 min extra for this purpose. At the place of buying please inform them you will take the item to another country - they should provide a form to you which you need to submit at airport during exit.

Yes, you never know if some super rich Sheikh from Arabian country decides to do major shopping like $100k or something and takes so much time with custom officer that you have to literally run away so that you don't miss your flight It has happened once to a friend in Munich where he had to give up VAT refund and run for his flight back to India as really one rich arab guy had purchased huge stuff from Germany and hence took too much time in front of the customs officer (so many forms for different shops where he shopped!)

We (my Wife and I) normally choose an evening flight on our return, so after the noon checkout from the hotel we head directly for the airport real early as there is enough time pass there.

Hi Shree,

Cyclops LED are available with Biking Superstore - Balewadi, Pune. Price is 6000 for each bulb. So you need to spend Rs 12000 for 2 bulbs. Plus fitting he will charge Rs 500.

Overall, these guys give pretty good customer treatment. They also perform basic servicing of all major superbikes (Oil change, air filter, oil filter, brake pad cleaning, chain adjustment etc).

I also bought items from him like SW Motech Frame Sliders, R&G Fork and Swingarm sliders...
He also has stock of Denali Sound Bomb/Sound Bomb Mini, EBC brake pads etc.

Harshal gives a decent deal and is not extremely far from my place so I go to him a lot.

Absolutely agree with you Shree....If one is belonging to a middle class category who somehow managed to get his/her courage levels and bought a super bike then obviously money is a big constraint..

Even I went one by one at it! First bought basic fork/frame/swingarm sliders...Then bought riding gear (I had older riding gear but it was pretty much end of life)...
Recently added Arrow Exhaust and will soon be buying Action Camera (but possibly SJCAM rather than top of the line Go Pro or Sony etc).

You have to really keep fund allocation for these things plus remember that around 12000-13000 km, TYRE change will come up too...

Go for all essential stuff first..Then one by one add other things..I was near bankruptcy after buying the bike but over last 1 year I recovered alright...

Well said JC I am realizing the wisdom of your words presently. My first service is due coming Saturday and the Arrow's are to be fixed. Frame sliders next. I will take a break for a couple months then, before my wife starts yelling at me and lowers the boom!

Yes, that would be wise There are some funny advertisements on OLX etc - e.g. one Daytona rider has sold and reason for selling was "Wife cancelled permission to ride" Let's not get into those situations! There have been some divorce cases due to craze about bikes too.

By the way, I have just added one more thing to my arsenal - Go Pro Session Action Camera (got it from the USA at about $230 which includes handle bar mounts and inclusive of local sales tax). Yet to open this as I just came back yesterday. But within a week or two I will have my first ever on board video capture for sure!

Cyclops are way brighter than stock lights and they reduce load on battery as well. Auxiliary lamp is a personal matter of choice but I don't see the need. Twin Cyclops headlights are rather strong and light up the road - you can really see the difference when it is quite dark when riding outside the city. On City roads the difference is relatively lower but still they help a lot when some Car/Truck flashes high beam right into your eyes, you can retaliate with your own high beam which surely troubles them and majority go back to low beam after we use our high beam against them - some jerks obviously have no sense and remain on high beam but still it is quite good result. Totally worth it in my opinion especially as they don't increase weight or cause any side effect on existing bike set up so - no need to alter any wiring etc - so they don't cause any warranty issue also.

I have booked a Street Triple 675 and i should be getting my "White Stallion" next month. I am a little bit concerned about the Engine Stalling Issue with the Street Triple. Does anyone know if the 2016 bikes too face the same issue. Street Triple owners who took the delivery this year, please tell me if anyone had faced this Issue.

Also I heard that there is a WhatsApp group for the Street Triple 675. Can anyone please tell me how i can get added to that Group.

Don't worry too much bro - I have completed almost 1 year now (just 3-4 days remaining!) and my bike has not stalled at all.

You can let me know your phone number and I will ask the admins of the Triumph groups to add you.
I am member of 2 groups - one is a common Triumph riders group of PUNE based riders only. Other is Street Triple Riders only forum for entire India. Pune group is more of a time pass group with friendly banter and jokes. ST3 All India group is a serious group where only bikes, technology,racing etc are discussed and no jokes etc in general - no good morning/happy birthday messages generally (sometimes people do send but it is not a practice).

By the way some more updates from me:

1) Finally I have started utilizing the GoPro Session on my bike and it is capturing amazing first person point of view videos. Right now I don't know anything about video editing and today shot my first ever video. Will slowly learn some tricks about this aspect.

2) I have got Denali Soundbomb MINI fitted to my bike - now it sounds almost like VW Polo when I do " HORN OK PLEASE!!" (About Rs 3200 in Pune). I don't want to unnecessarily rev my bike's engine high just to ensure people ahead notice me.

3) Also added LED Pilot Headlights to compliment my Cyclops LED main headlights. (About Rs 1000 for a pair)
Labour charges are extra.
