Re: Need advice on buying my first Sports bike
Hey dont mistake me for asking this, But do you think you can get a new one under that price bracket that too a faired one. Are you OK to go for a pre-owned SBK. Then definitely you can get a liter class bikes under that budget. But I doubt the current model of the above mentioned bikes will fall under that bracket.
Like you have already mentioned, Triumph is a good buy, but not a liter class bike.R15S - Current

Replies in bold.Originally posted by soumen.samWho can afford 10L for a bike, 15L shouldn’t be impossible. I just which is a good option and worthful. I don’t want to put so much money on it.
Other side Z1000 daytona 675 are in 12L.
Are you sure you really want one (as in a super bike)? If yes, you need to do your homework better!
Daytona 675 is a 3 pot supersport and hence not comparable to the other 650 cc bikes sold in India.
Yes pre-owned bikes are ok if its in best condition, but I don’t have time to look for one.
Good for you!
I don’t like the z800 looks.
You're the 1st one to say so, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Hyosung is a cheap bike.
That's a useless comment! I doubt you ever saw one in detail. It mars many a bikes on road. Remember, it's the cheapest (in money) 650 cc mill out there.
Spares are manageable too, provided you're interested!
ninja 650 is a cruiser, not a sports bike.
N650 is a cruiser? What are Harley's then? I think you meant tourer.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Need advice on buying my first Sports bike
If you are not ready to spend 10L for a SBK, then there is nothing much to suggest. I dont think you ll get a new one. Thats what I meant. To own an SBK, you need patience. Pre-Owned bikes are easy to find and good ones are hard to find. If you want to fulfil your dream, then you have to work for it. Result doesnt come fall on our hands.Originally posted by soumen.samWho can afford 10L for a bike, 15L shouldn’t be impossible. I just which is a good option and worthful. Z800 is one of the best machines IMO. I am not a fan of faired bikes. I like the street fighter looks. Love to flaunt the machine.
Please dont say Hyosung is a cheap bike. Its the most affordable v-twin in the country now and doing decent numbers. N650 is a sports tourer. not a cruiser.R15S - Current

Re: Need advice on buying my first Sports bike
Thes type of threads reminds me of a sentence : "Bhaiyya, ek kilo aaloo dena, nahi ek kilo pyaaz de do, aaloo sabke paas hai"
@TS : Its a superbike, someone who actually want to "earn" it will never ask others.
Over that, you have a budget but you dont want to venture out in pre-owned market. Are you waiting for the bike to come to you on its own?
Hyosung is cheap? Do you know the difference between cheap and inexpensive. Choice of words does matter.
Ninja650 is cruiser? Are you serious on this? Really
And you are hell bent on 1000cc. Do you even know the Daytona is one of the best 600cc bike.
Do you know that even if you buy a 1000cc Superbike, you wont be able to utilize its power to the fullest even on highways. And afaik W.Bengal still has got no track for riding.
First ask yourself, are you really into superbikes or its just "peer pressure". Are you ok with the service cost and spare cost just in case if you need something urgently. Do search for FI injectors cost of "your" 1000cc for example or even the tyres.
mods : Looks like people can now open thread and it will be approved without even guiding them to other threads which are on same topic. Atleast do some filtering rather than approving any xyz thread.Last edited by prateek2210; 12-30-2014, 07:08 PM.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

How more wrong can you get mate!Originally posted by soumen.samThere have many models those are not promoted neither in websites but still available in india, like Yamaha YZF-R6.
As for many more written by you, a person has to do his HOMEWORK and only then ask for queries. Members won't spoon feed each and every detail to you. Since you know nothing about the current two-wheeler market, it would be highly recommended to first do some research and check into the market.
Peace out!
Ride safe and have fun.

Where's it available in India...and more importantly, for how much? You definitely seem to know something we don't!

Re: Need advice on buying my first Sports bike
Just because you have little knowledge we can not spoon feed you about Superbikes here.
And now you are saying you have done your homework. And with this knowledge I wished you know that R6 is not legally available in India. So much for knowledge and homework
I thought in last post you said you are ok with pre owned bikes. First stick to one decision.
First we Ride bikes not Drive, And kindly mention what changed in Z800 since 2013. Whereas if I remember Z series was launched in January 2014, how come you have Zs in 2013?
It was you who started the thread here. Did you not check the address bar before starting the thread?
Oh now that you have "assumed" that people have no idea about SBK, that answers your attitude.
Mods, yes please keep xbhp clean. Remove this threadOriginally posted by soumen.sam@mods : please try to clean up threads and remove unnecessary posts. Its useless and waste of time here. And please remove this post.

Dude, With the kind of attitude you are posting messages here, i would only suggest you to visit all dealership & take test ride and then decide. You may google to know superbikes officially sold in India. All the best.

My 1st choice of bike was Suzuki GSX-R1000 due to its design and looksbecause of its seating position is not leaning like sports bikes.
I also look away from Suzuki GSX-R1000, Yamaha R1, Honda CBR as those all are older models (except upcoming 2015 R1). Then recently I saw Triumph Daytona 675 and its looks good, not exceptional and it had a showroom in my city (Kolkata) so its easy to get, also its in my budget. But the cons are its not 1000cc and its looks little slim (horizontal width) compared to other 1000cc sports bikeOriginally posted by soumen.sam----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Bhai log you guys are in xbhp became a crowded pulsed riders like we see on roads. Teambhp is far more clear. Better giving suggestion and advice, you guys loves to argue in any topics.
You guys may not have read my post clearly. Regarding the cost of FI injectors and tyres, those people drives 160cc apache only those thinks about these service cost, not a SBK enthusiastic.mods : please try to clean up threads and remove unnecessary posts. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!
What we have here is none other than the rich version of Poser X. A person who is so "obsessed" with 1000cc that he'd turn down even Agostini's Moto GP bike which is "just 500 cc"
Oh, and let me add, he is every bit a poser.
Also make up your mind. Can you extend to 15L or not.
Also Hyosung is a cheap bike? As cheap as the Hunk? Or cheaper?
Also for the R6, which showroom sells that?
My point exactly. Would keep people like you out.
PS: I can bet you've been rejected a million times by T-BHP.
I dont even know how to respond to that.
Dont feed the troll.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostHow more wrong can you get mate!

1) get himself killed like azharuddin's son
2) drive like an utter maniac and bring utter disregard to our community
3) Never have the balls to get out of 1st gear
4) never take his 1000cc bike to the track.
