@archerdyal : Awesome bike and superb pics mate !
Take her out on a long ride asap and post up with your ride experience please

@rossiter : All that new tech ain't coming cheap i guess. Yamaha are confident enough to price the '09 One higher than its competitors methinks...

By default, the bike runs on low beam. In case high beam is required, the existing projectors are covered by a electronically controlled slide which moves up when high beam is required. It's all very James Bond-ish.

Nope.. many people are getting the 09 R1 for 13-14k OTR. Not sure why it cost archedyal 18K (if he posted it right).

          +1 with rossiter
saw it to be some 13k USD on some site.

and maverick dude, rossiter was right when he said that it runs on low beam all the time. switches to high beam when required.

          +1 with quickdraw

even i am disappointed not seeing the colored frame...

                            Ride Experience

                            Hi guys,
Its been a while i never responded to this thread so i am writing down my experience with bike so far... i have been riding for over two weeks but those were like my commuting miles so didnt do have to much expect going straight on the freeway...But today i went for a 250 miles ride and trust me on this bike it was fun. There was like all kind of of bends and corners almost everykind of surface and most important the beautiful ride on highway whem u have mountains on one side and pacific ocean on the other side..

So just to start i am riding on the b-mode all the timing coz i am still trying to sync myself with the bike and i dun have to much gentle on the throttle specially wen i am in the middle of the corner and exiting it. I never had a frightening moment in the whole ride and i was taking the turns easily on 45-90 miles. i have beed riding GSXR- 1000 a alot i found a big difference in handing this bike is nimble and handle much better and easy to control in the middle of the corner wen u start rolling throttle i can twist it to a extent but while i was riding gsxr i have be very carefull that i dun over do it.

And i think this time yamaha did a good job heating control i didnt felt much heat on the legs as compared to old R1 they have done a good job on that... I touched around 170 miles/hr thats around 272 and that was on the B mode again.. I did that in 6 gear started from 70 - 170...Trust me bike took like it was a piece of cake specially at 9400 u get a extra wen secondary injector and throttle get extended the sound just changes to hard brutal monster i wonder how will this be in the A mode co thats 30 % more power. But all in all i liked the bike...

Pardon my writing style coz i am not use to writing if want to ask specific qustions please Shoot
