Congrats on the new 09 R1!
Now that you have taken a couple of longer rides, might I ask you the following:
1. Heat emanating from engine-you already said its less
2. How aggressive is the riding position&do you get any pains/sores?
3. Does a slight increase in throttle make the bike pick up speed like it wants to run away from you? Do you find difficulty at parking speeds/uturns?
4. I know there is not much insane traffic compared to India, but how is the maneouvrability in tight traffic? Are the brakes too strong&do they make you jump forward whenever you use them?
5. Maintenance-too early to ask I guess.
Sorry if any of these sounded rude, but I just wanted to get to know how you feel, rather than just envying/congratulating you!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

@ Savarjit:- About the riding position it is aggressive but you can always playaround with the rear suspension to fit to your need but i think so far this position is not giving me aces and sores...just sometimes i feel a lil extra weight on my wrists thats coz the load i am always carrying at my back lolzz.
About the pick up there is DMS u can have any kind of throttle response you want i am a beginner so i ride on B thats the weakest map but on A its a bomb bike just says unleash me.
About parking speeds and U turn on B & STD mode they r very simple. But u dun wanna do that on A hehehe.
About maneuverability bike takes it nicely i have done some quick swerves and bike was happy responding quickly. I felt the same on the new CBR1000 i would say they r equally the same on that part but only difference CBR is less wider.
About brakes it all depends how you engage them u go harder you will feel yourself going a lil forward i never tried going harder. Most of the time i use engine braking and using brakes with it that makes the bike to slow smoother
I already have done 1600 miles on the bike thats around 2560 Km i did the first service myself and so far its not that expensive but dealers always rip you
BTW i never told you guys i am a big motorhead i tune cars but not bikes and i feel you dun need to do anything to these croucth rockets
PS:I hope i satisfied you questions
