that bike sounds freakkin awesome. totally characteristic of a big burly V-Twin with 2 pipes. Not surprisingly it did remind me of the Buells and HDs. I guess at the moment this is as close as I can get to hearing a Buell.(pardon my detraction from the bike mentioned here. Just that the Buells have me hooked.)

But yes, I would probably have done the same thing as you if i had spare change running into 7 digit figures.

Congratulations on a lovely motorcycle bro!

@Nio: the most aired music video from the soundtrack of Shahid Kapoor's new movie 'Kaminey'

P.S.: In the video, she sounds the best between 2:12 and 2:15. The deceleration here reminded me of, don't criticize me for this, a stock V8 Mercedes and dare i quote, like "The God of thunder". I shall excuse the "nails" bit. Gosh! I've probably watched your video like 7 times now and the more I do the more I love the MT. My office presentation be damned!

Thx for the words of appreciation. I had always desired to own a HD but since its not available in INDIA officially so the closest possible for me was a MT01 !

Personally I too liked HIM roar between 2.12 - 2.15 ! Its what draws me to ride my Monster more then just often ! Making videos/pix is some way of expressing my love for MT01 apart from riding HIM I at times have used it for point A to point B solo rides apart from the Group Fun rides.
well, its legal now. so you needn't worry Yeah, the MT is a good choice. Plus you get Yamaha quality and reliability.

Awesome stuff man...looks (and sounds ) like you are having a blast! Do you sometimes feel the need for a little more speed (when compared to the other bikes?).

I'm nudging 5000kms on my bike...close to a month. You?

I've also given up on the high-speed riding...especially in India. The sweet spot on the MT-01 is around 135-145 kmph while cruising. Overtaking is a breeze and the bike can be stopped VERY quickly from these speeds. Makes for a safer ride. I also get my best fuel efficiency at 135kph.

If you ask me to choose between a Busa and a Goldwing or an Electra-Glide - I'd pick a Goldwing/Glide anyday

Nothing like discovering India on a lounge-chair on two-wheels with my iPod pumping out tunes through the on-board music system

                        Beautiful sfuff dude!

loved the 2nd video but then I would be pissed to have come across as many truckers as you guys did...kinda is a pain to down shift all the way from say a 150-175 to a 30-45 and then up shift once again.

Also the 3rd video was pure eye candy to see as many beasts all parked alongside each other...nice!

I'd say thats about right for the MT-01. Might be an aberration but I've seen close to 240 on a full tank once while riding from Mumbai to Bangalore. I was desperately hunting for a gas-station at this point so the bike might have been running on fumes. It will be interesting to do a proper fuel run to see what we can ACTUALLY do on a full tank instead of getting scared. The reason is that whenever the reserve light comes on and I go for a fill-up, I can barely squeeze 10 litres in. This means there was still 5 litres inside somewhere
