a electronic rev.limiter is used by all sports bikes now.it's primary intention was to prevent engines from over revving.now they use it to restrivt speed too.it is incorporated into the ecu.

a zx9r is liquid cooled so i guess that even the zx12r has to be liquid cooled.

Hey guys, Today I've been too lucky. Guess what I got to ride, the worlds fastest production motorcycle KAWASAKI ZX12R. This beast is so damn fast that it can eat up any indian vehicle in 1st gear itself. And on an open stretch I tried to have some fun by redlining the ninja in 1st and then click 2nd. To my horror I had already crossed 150kph. What acceleration, what sound, what a bike!!

Hey Cha, thanks for the advice man....actually i was planning to get a canadian model RZ350 YPVS but looking at the ground realities, i have abandoned the idea..
One of my friends here has bought a 2001 Yamaha R6. Now he is in a dilemma - whether to take the bike to india or not. Most of the people whom he has asked for a feedback are saying that the hassles involved are too many and if you are not in a position to pull strings, then it is better not to bring the bike to India. And a few that have replied to him regarding the different ways to minimise customs duty have not provided any solid proof to back their claims.
So for now, I have decided to get my RD redone..Probably I will be getting some spares like the pistons and connecting rods from here...And the bike will be redone by the "Indian wizard on 2 strokes" - Ron Chinoy.
