        Absolutely badass.
Great choice man. Have loved it ever since it came out in MI2.
I notice you bought it from OTD cycles. I had contacted them when i was buying my R6. They dint have the yellow 08 version. But they are def a good dealer.

Great choice. Ride safe. If you do happen to make a trip to Laguna Seca this year for the MotoGp, hit me up and we can meet up. I am set up in Chandler AZ.
        Congratulations once again.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

                Thanks guys..
@Carlitos - yeah, OTD are awesome. This is my third bike from them. Their prices are always lower than other dealers and the service is great. In fact I got the R6 from them so cheap that insurance paid me a bit more than I spent when it got stolen
Will get in touch if I'm around.

@Ken - I know it just makes the bike.

I got a lot of questions about moving to this from a sportsbike to this.. so I'll try to sum it up -
With me it is all about the fun factor. Having lived with two supersports in the past, I was looking out for something different, powerful, more fun and entirely usable.
This bike does everything for me. It is a blast to ride and I can do without a chiropractor on call. (I do enough bending over at work as is )

                Now for impressions.
It feels so familiar even though I have only put 26 miles on it so far. It does everything I tell it to do and somehow just listens to me. Hard to explain, but very confidence inspiring.
It took me over a month to get to that level of familiarity with the R6.

The low end torque and power is unbelievable. It pulls like a truck. Have only been riding it on the streets the past two days, but will stretch its legs this weekend on the Pacific Coast Highway.

And finally the matter of the Orange .. I had started from home thinking about getting a black 'Street Triple' (The 675).. but With this one parked right next to it, there was no way I could settle for it's smaller cousin.
And like Ken pointed out, the Swingarm just calls out to you. Something about seeing the entire wheel is just awesome.

So that's my little over 2 cents.

In other news my car was hit by a drunk driver today which is keeping me a bit busy.. but will keep posting.

@Vivek: Brilliant! It's lovely to see someone getting a 'different' breed of bike, apart from the "usual" Japs. Lovely! We would seriously want to read more about your experience on the 1050 Speed Triple as you log on more miles on it, as each day passes by.

And yes, that color looks magnificent!

It's very numbing... I usually start gearing up while I walk towards the bike and almost had my helmet on when I noticed it was gone. It's just a ridiculous feeling when you see the empty space where your bike used to be..

You go through the five stages of grief pretty quickly

                          1) Denial - Maybe it got towed.. maybe the maintenance guys moved it?
                          2) Anger - WTF!!!! where's my bike??? I'll ****ing kill somebody!!!!
                          3) Bargaining - Maybe I will buy another one. A better one..
                          4) Depression - Man.. driving is no fun. Wish I had my bike...
                          5) Acceptance -Screw it. I now have AC, Nav, bluetooth, kickass audio and can finally get groceries done on my way home. I'll just drive
