the stock exausts look massive ,get a akrapovic racing exaust to improve the look of the bike (after getting used to the awesome power of the great "one" )

We went for a 150 km trip on the blade and R1.....
The difference between blade and R1 is huge, taking into account that both are similar bikes.
Blade is very faithful, R1 is just arrogant and wont shy away from being bewafa...... more comparison later...

It got dark while coming back, and we did a very good job of exterminators...

A straight away 150kms. run on the first day itself. What better way to start running in the R1! Superb!

You should have got Two Brothers or Jardine. Akrapovic is expensive and doesn't sound as good as the other two on the R1. I guess anything is better than stock though.

I bet these are the carbon fiber version!! There are quite a few videos of these Akrapovics on Youtube..... sounds cool!! Not sure though if they gonna affect the character of the bike in terms of engine performance because those Titanium Canisters are fine tuned with the engine and the '10R1's engine is nothing like any other in-lines... I would suggest to be a bit carefull while fitting them in (just a friendly advise!!)

No I do not remember .... but those words are pretty much my first ride impression of this bike. Seriously, R1 is not for beginners....
Ab le liya na yar.... There is no way I could have known which one sounds like what... videos on youtube do not give the true sound... akra sound okay and yes they are expensive, but i am completely satisfied by the quality....
Thanks dude, I already have a comparison in my head just after my first ride on the one.... that pretty much separates a Honda from Yamaha. Kudos to Honda for developing a gem of a bike. Fireblade is just amazing, it lets you enjoy the ride without much worries. R1 on the other hand is more demanding, you have few more things to worry about, like throttle for example.... I do not want to compare more, cause at the end of the day, its still an individual's choice. For me , I would take my girlfriend on a blade, and take on hooligans on the one!
