        Sweet ride btw.
well had a deal with my dad, that i will have the bike just for 6 months, as bikes are a big tabboo at my place. thats the reason i had to let it go. though sold it after almost a year.

i doubt that buddy, as i bought the pilot power 2CT, and the centre was slightly harder than the regular ones. i think the basic sense to do that was, while you are riding in a straight line the traction is needed while braking only. while turning the softer compound simply sticks to the road like Velcro.

im pretty sure you are thinking of pilot road 2 ct's. they are harder in the center and as soft as the powers on the side.

pilot power 2ct are stickier on the sides than normal powers.

ive ridden on all of these one after the other and can confirm that.

            Tires.

This is a pretty delayed post, so apologies in advance if it is no longer relavant.

Over the last 50,000 miles (80,000km) I have tried out the Bridgestones (BT57, BT010, BT016), Michilen (Pilots), Dunlop (D208), Pirelli (Diablo) over the past 9 years and IMHO, the Bridgestones are the best.

Bridgestones latest offering is the BT016 has triple compound on the rear tire and is just brilliant! Pirelli are a close second (but expensive), Michelins follow and then Dunlops. Dunlops came as OEM and I would never pay for those crappy tires.

However, keep in mind that manufacturers make tires for different purposes. The tires I have mentioned above are classified as "sport" tires. (Touring tires have less grip/more life and Race tires more grip/less life when compared to sport tires). the BT020 is more like a touring tire when compared to the BT016. I typically get between 7-8K miles (11-13K km) out of my tires (rear ones go off first). The key to getting max life is to keep them inflated to manufacturer recommended pressures.

All the tires listed above were purchased in the US. I am not aware of the quality of tires available in India would be any different.
