    Bajaj KB 125

    Engine and transmission

    Displacement: 125.00 cc
    Engine type: Single cylinder, four-stroke
    Cooling system: Air
    Gearbox: 5-speed
    Transmission type,
    final drive: Chain

    Hi folks,
this is about my KB 125, the glorious performer which never got the chance to prove itself. after years of neglect due to lack of time and effort, the poor old faithful steed had started to show its age. the bike had developed rust all over. the spokes, tank, frame, guard. i felt sorry. many a times i thought of selling it, but then better sense prevailed. i have now given my KB for a complete pampering at the garage. i will post pics as soon as i get my bike back.

Locomotor..Congratulation...Great resurrection..Bike looks like new..Sadly the headlight reflector is showing signs of rust. The same thing happened to my bike's reflector also and couldn't get a replacement..I had to switch to the traditional Round type headlight...
Please share with us the work done, and how you were able to source the spares.

thanks psr. yes, i was not able to source the headlight reflector till now. but with the halogen filament, iam able to get sufficient light during night driving. iam on the look out still. dont want to change to the round type.
Not many spares were used though i tried. the changes made were:
                          1. Replacement of all spokes of the wheels. couldnot bring myself to fit alloys. thought it would spoil the look of the bike.
                          2. replacement of the indicators.
                          3. complete painting. Sadly, i sould not get the original stickers.
                          4. Servicing.
                          5. Fitment of a Side Box which i considered necessary for my daily use.

Thanks aargee. as you said, the turn lights are not OE but of the RE. Personally i never liked the square turn indicators. moreover, they were not available.
Iam trying for a separate restoration thread, but not able fit it in an appropriate forum here. can i start in the forum of ownership experiences itself?
