In truth an older photo (2006), not too long after I'd been given this 1992 KB100RTZ. Paint/chrome here original. I extended the swingarm 2 inches, and shockers were re-fitted on adjustable mounts - providing a ride much more plush (I could bear the original setup for about ten minutes of riding), with much better high-speed stability as well. Rear mudguard was removed to allow for the greater travel it now enjoyed, and seatpan also modded for that reason. Plans for long tours dictated that seat padding be enhanced a bit. Took it in this form to Ladakh (incl. Zanskar beyond Paddum), through Lahaul and Pattan up over Sach Pass to Chamba / Dalhousie / Dharamsala and back to Manali. Also rode from here across Uttarkhand into Western Nepal on it. Nowadays it is looking much worse for the wear after all the travel, and after a friend wrecked it (I feel more sorry for him, he broke his leg and was in a cast for nine weeks); Despite the badly dented tank, I'd fit still had a quiet, tight, freshly rebuilt engine that ran just beautifully till sitting unused over a winter a couple years back, when some water leeched down inside the throttle cable, through the carb (common issue), and into the crankcase, rusting up the crank bearings. Awaiting a complete rebuild, and for now sadly a bit of a basket-case.

Fortunately my KB125RTZ (modified cafe-racer) is running just great - will post pics of that soon if possible.

Rd was in the same state before the wash. These days dont get much time to maintain oldies.

My mint condish JAWA 250, built in the Czech Republic in the good ol year of 1972... Sadly had to sell it sometime back, however to a close friend, so i have my eyes on her every now and then!

My beloved 1990 Yamaha RX100. Bone stock engine, but did a couple of modifications, mostly weight reduction. Went for the scrambler-ish / cafe racer-ish look. It's a glorious machine. The sound, the feel, the experience, the hair-raising thrill.. and mostly the raw, scary feel, you know, - you twist that throttle and it thrusts forward in a mix of featherweight madness and a violent orchestra.. ah, words cannot describe that feel.

Hello brothers, I am the newest kid on the block. Im from Trivandrum, kerala. now working in trichy. I own a RX 135 - 1998 regn. Bought for 18k and rebuilt complete by 2012. I was 19yrs old then. Still a rookie and expecting advice and counsel from all you experts here on my way to owning an RD350.



Engine was opened twice. First while rebuilding. Second time unfortuantely she toppled over in thampanoor under rain and inner got filled with water and muck. Cosmetic works, new spares, rims and tyres completed my rebuilding work. Relied heavily on the mechanic. Now wishing to know more of the work.
