1981 Rajdoot Deluxe
Here is my 1981 Rajdoot Deluxe
A gift from my uncle
, he used this for more than 20 years and didn't want to sell to anyone.
It was exposed to chemicals and iron ores in New Mangalore Port, where he was employed.
As he bought new Honda Activa, kept this idle for 2-3 years and the condition deteriorates day by day because of the Mangalorean weather.
Sorry for not having the photo of the bike before restoration.
Took 3 months to restore and rode straight to his house......and he was stunned and shocked to see his bike as NEW
Details
Engine type: 2- stroke, Single cylinder
Bore& stroke : 61.5 X 58 mm
Displacement : 173 cc
compression ratio : 6.6:1
Carburetor : horizontal 24mm mikuni
ignition : Flywheel magneto
Power : 9 bhp @ 5000 rpm
Torque ( max) : 1.37 kg-m @ 3500 rpm
gear box: 3 speed constant mesh.

@ rookieraj .....I do my level best turning wrenches, chasing mechanics and painting myselfOriginally posted by rookieraj View Postyou know what makes this thread such a pleasure to follow? this gentleman doesn't appear to be only a collector/restorer. he, like his good friend Muthu sir, seems to be a bit of a wrench-turner himself.
As I said before......all my good friends are with me when help needed, otherwise it's impossible to continue the passion.
Muthu sir is not only my friend.....also my guide, teacher and more over adviser.
I have few online / telephone friends, I often call them to take advise.
Thanks all
