Villegers looting bikers is quite common. I too had a similar incident when a CBZ crashed into my bike, and the owner, his brother and his group demanded the repairing charges from me. Luckily, the local rikshawalas saw what happened, and saved my a$$.

Never had any experience with cows yet, but will be careful in future.

Man, I was luckier!! I almost hit a cow on a dark road...I was coming at 60, knowing the road will have a couple of cows sitting on the left. This friggin' cow took a stance on the rightmost part and I could see it only when I was 10 feet away (damn CBZ lights). Anyways, I applied the brakes steadily and came to a standstill, but not before ramming the cow in the side!! And lo, the holy mother of god strolled away casually, as if I had invaded it's privacy.

Another time, very nearly missed a bull standing in the middle of the road at night, at a speed of 80!! We are having a race, me and one of colleague on his Fiero F2, returning from a party. But then, one kilometer ahead, the guy rammed his brakes when a dog crossed his way and the bike skidded like anything, throwing sparks in the night. I was safely ahead by the time, and the guys were taken to a hospital across the street. I knew about the incident the next day.

Worse than cows are buffelloes. You can't even see them in dark! If they are facing you, then you are lucky because you can see the eyes sparkle, but if they are standing sideways or walking in the same direction as you/have their bum to you, you can't see the damn thing till you are close! Each time I plan to take a few radium stickers and randomly stick to each buffello a@$$ I come across, to save lives of night riders/drivers.

Nice picks there . Your Bull looks cool , These kind of incidents do happen often when we travel to our native in kerala . Lucky me have escaped few times from running over Cows , Ba fellows ... Not to mention the ever sporty chickens . Have almost hit a chicken once on a bajaj chethak scooter ( my uncles back in native )

So be bindas . Good that yo don't have any major damage . Ride safe

You are right! Buffaloes at night are very very dangerous. Many times I escaped at night at high speeds, thanks to the powerful dics of Karizma.

anybody here escaped from Tractors(farm tractors not trailer lorries!) with trailers attached ?
I had.on rx100 at a high speed(90kmph) my friend karan kumar reddy was riding on a rural route at night near coimbatore.and this sort of tractors without any reflectors are a common scene there. One of the tractor-trailer was just in the middle of the road in a nowhere area and I suddenly noticed it and we stopped to escape!.
kind of looks like below thing.but present in huge numbers

ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL that was very funny ...

Poor cow I hope she is ok ...

I think you did the right thing by not stopping. As sad and wrong it might be - if you want to see light of day again - you shouldn't be stopping.

LOLz - didn't wait to check the gender of the animal - I didn't look back and neither checked my rear view mirror - just fled assuming as if Yamraj's bhainss had taken avatar of a cow.

@ prakash_mvpa - yeah Tractors also drive on the wrong side of the road - coming straight at you at 20 KMPH

This is because Government has built highways on those villages itself and there is no U-turn for long stretches on these highways - so those crazy local 2 wheelers and Tractors drive on the wrong side ALWAYS !!!

not sure if it was the right thing to do.... but surely it was smart of you to get out of the place before the villagers gathered....

hey anybody saw the documentory on cows in india in nat geo? thats like a complete story... of what these people do with their cattle. they dont give them much to eat and leave them out to stray in cities and open roads. and believe it or not, there is a squad to catch the cattle and keep them captive until the owner pays fine. havent seen much in bangalore though. guess its more of delhi and mahas...
