Hi Kartik thanks for taking time to reply - yes i am aware of the fact that i will have to put in a bigger sleeve. The bore is already at 1.25 over. Anyway i got what you are trying to say. Quality of workmanship is not guaranteed and then will have to break our heads on making everything match and work. Anyway after a long discussion with my mech we have decided to not go ahead with the big bore project Maybe some other time - still have another 3 rebores left in the original liner so i guess for now we will go and work on the ports , squish and carb. I think that should work well enough for now, though I am still very interested in a big bore project. Should happen sometime in the future.

Also just incase someone else is going to build a big bore, can all you knowledgeable ones please list out all the parts that one would need ? So far the list is.

        1) RZ/ Banshee Piston
        2) Custom liner.
        3) 5 speed gb

please add what else is needed.

@Insane what your saying is theoretically correct. What i had in mind was a TOP-PRO piston setup. I have run one of those on a stockish setup and found it quite enjoyable. It is not really a short stroke setup but it isnt stock either. Also please give us some details of your big bore!

Also with regards to sleeves I just saw a pair of resleeved 350 bores at my tuners. I could not make out if it was a resleeve until he told me. The port layout and the porting on it was pure 2t porn !! Ive still got a big smile on my face from the visuals of the transfers and the exhaust Donno how well it will run but it sure looks awesome ! wish i had taken some pics... these bores look a billion times better than the china bores - so i guess there is a way to get around the shitty workmanship part but yea there is a huge factor of variability/ Murphy.

it was a kind of never ending project, the bike has seen many blocks....

while looking at the pistons i was thinking "will it work"
while fitting the block i was like will it start!!
first misfire and after a few kicks bike was on motion, too much compression, too much initial pickup, easy whellies....
i don't have much pics of build, but will surely post some......

Hi bro, I was lucky enough to get hold of a RD piston and planning to big bore my RXG. Can you please help in the following

            1. I see the port window is raised by 3mm and shorter in width by 2.7 mm without any cuts in bottom as compared to a stock piston. Did you make any modifications to the piston when you installed it. I can see the port window shapes are entirely different. how did you overcome it?

            2. Did you rework the squish band and combustion chamber? What was the squish gap and combustion chamber volume you have opted for?

            3. How is the compression effect on long rides? is the crank and connecting rod is able to take it?

            4. Did you make any alterations to the port? requesting to share the port setup.

            5. What size of carb and jets you are running with? What is the FE after the mod?

            6. How is the overall outcome (Performance and maintenance) of the mod?

            7. What is the current oil to fuel ratio you are opting for?

I am stuck at these. Seeking help...
