Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

What a beauty man!!! What a beauty!!! My hat off to you sir. That RD is good enough to go on show at Yamaha's museum. Makes me wish I had never sold of mine. If only I could turn time back.

Good going. Congratulations to you !!!
Few high res pictures would do more justice to the bike and your efforts.

          OT:
Frankly speaking this is how I intended to go on a RD, if i ever get to own one. I simply don't understand people scavenging for parts for a 20 year old bike, when such modern and quality parts are available. The RD-350 was a legend, no doubt if you can manage to keep it in its glory you are lucky, but otherwise all said and done I would want to own a modern RD with parts that make the breed better.

A well restored RD always brings a smile and that burnt 2-stroke oil smell to the nostrils... Great job!!! Take good care of her!

Sir, not sure how long it took you to go ahead phase by phase. What are all the obstacles faced to procure the parts from home/abroad, who are all the involved to bring the all parts to gether in one form. I don't know. However, when looking at the final outcome, I know it might have brought joy and happiness that one cannot explain. US spec and some ingredients has gone down this bike makes it even more special. It takes more than money and time to get something like this done, 'Passion!'. All I got to say is 'Hats off to you, Sir!'.

I cannot begin to imagine the planning, procurement, time and work that has gone into this pristine RD over the past 3+ years. I am happy to see this machine i so fondly cherish, in all her glory. Bikes may come and go over the period of time but the RD will remain a legend.

                Admirable passion and Cheers..!!

I think I saw this bike at Asgar's when I went for my CDI install. The amount of patience, time, knowledge and money one needs to restore RD to this state is unimaginable.

                  Looks great Enjoy your ride!
