        Hi MGH,

Regarding the size and model you need to do some home work, rather than raising questions...

Before I could find a 2-stroke expert, dad decided to take things into his own hands and give it to the same showroom where he bought his Wego and gets it serviced. I called him up and asked him to avoid oil change (since I use Shell Semi Synthetic and don't want to replace it with TVS oil) and tyre change (because the best tyre they had on offer was TVS Jumbo).

Got it back today and they seem to have done a neat job.

Installed CEAT Grip tyre (button-type) at the rear. Front tyre is rings type and it seems like it still has life left in it so I didn't change it.

Tomorrow planning to get oil changed at shell.

I'm attaching ALL the expenses so far (personal note: finally figured out spreadsheet macros! I rule )

Currently expenses stand at Rs. 3755. Expecting it to comfortably cross the Rs. 4000/- mark after oil change (will update that too lol). But now the bike feels as good as new. Except for a spongy clutch setting (that I shall change tomorrow) nothing feels wrong at all. Its awesome

I need a few weeks to recalculate mileage by tankfull to tankfull method. So I'll update on mileage changes then. I expect it to increase due to service but decrease due to bigger and grippier rear tyre so overall it should remain in the same zone or increase slightly (hopefully). Lets see what happens

Hi there, It is really nice to see another Samurai owner taking such wonderful care of the bike. I too have a 1999 Black Samurai that has recently clocked 57k, kms on the odo. The bike was not used regularly for over eight years as I was away from my home town. I have ridden it for 14k kms in the past one year purely in commuting without any out of city trips. I also faced a similar problem with average. It used to be somewhere around 54kmpl but fell to 46-47 even with very sane driving conditions. For the first service after I started using last year, only the gearbox oil was changed and there was but a marginal increase in the efficiency.

The second service was done by a much better and competent guy who suggested I get the accelerator cable and the air filter sponge replaced. I got both of these replaced and the head and exhaust de-carbed. After this the bike was not only smoother but also more efficient and I started getting around 51kmpl.

I recently flushed my gearbox with diesel and filled up new oil which has further improved the clutch feel and slight increase in efficiency again. My bike is due for servicing again, I will keep you updated with things

My friend wants to fit a resonator on his samurai, and i guess supra came with one.
Now the question is can I fit the manifold of supra on the samurai with vm18?
