Wonderfully done, except for the points highlighted by Ram. But one can't do much about a customers choice i guess.

    OT:

I doubt that Ram, the colors are different. The one on the RXZ is more towards blue and the one on the RX-100 is more towards green.
Only doubt i have here is whether this color came from the factory and also the decal used on the tank was it originally white in color or golden itself like on all the other paint color available.
Thanks Asif, the Sticker kit too is different in Blue shade when compared to all the other colors that was available which shared the same sticker kit. Made me actually think was it a LE or something...

Yeap Asif i know most of the times the painters will take this amount of time but this time we tried and got it done quickly. And yes thats true customer is the king

So here i the final pics along with the updates !!!
Finaly our man karthik gave the instrument cluster on Sunday at 6PM. Oh gosh the bike was ready 3 days before itself except for the one part and our man held the delivery of the vehicle just for one part

From our place when we took the bike out to be delivered to the customer i was greeted by the ppl on the road with a look of stare, smiles and the questioned asked by ppl in each and every signal i waited. Questions like:
      * Auto driver - Saar did yamaha launch this bike again whats the on road price ??
      * Pulsar rider - Nicely done up man which model and whats the cost of restoration??
      * Newly brought honda activa Uncle - Is this bike for sale??? He said this is one of the best bike that came in India and i regret selling this off. It seems he had a 86 model and sold it for 7k 2 years back and i was like

And a lot more but to summarize most of ppl asked whats the cost for the complete restoration and is the bike for sale ?

So will let the pics do the talk and I will pause here for a while. And you ppl can ask me/Karthik any doubts or question you have.

Another RX 100 is just round the corner we are just finalizing a few things.
      Cheers,
      Chethan

Except for a few bits & pieces here & there...

Would you also include the total costing involved in this restoration, if you don't mind Chethan..?

P.S. That Fuel cock is an eyesore...! Would look great if it's new...Just my 2 cents & no offense.

The fuel tap with the typical RX 100 filter will be fitted this weekend as that part was lying in Karthik's Mysore house we just got it the day before yesterday to Bangalore.

If you specifically need the pricing we can talk over PM.
          Cheers,
          Chethan

Infact i had those mirrors fitted(had a set of old ones in stock) and the yoke rubber put to show the customer how the bike looks but he didnt like it and didnt want me to take pics either

The best colour i would suggest for the RX 100 restoration is this colour it just is a crowd leader and stunner.

Source of the pic is google
Actually the colour in the pic is close to the colour i am talking about by say 90% but not exact the same. Will share a pic of our prev restores on the colour i am talking about
                Kinetic Honda (1997)
                Suzuki Shogun (1998)
                Maruti Suzuki Zen (1999)

Awesome rebuilt chethan ! Came up nicely

why the lever boot was rxg/135 type? atleast me and sriram have two sets of rx100 lever boot also easy availabe.

next... attenation to details yes...oil pump cover and timing case cover should have those black circles. and this wire tie is not acceptable should have those black cable belts tie.

chain gaurd is really awesome authentic RX100 with chain inspection window on the top side.

kindly ignore if have already replied to some of this

Lever boot was a definite no no from the customer so we went the plain way. Black circle we didn't have stock they are in the process of procurement.

Black wire tie vokay sir will procure them
                    Cheers,

That is a job well done.
I am happy that you concentrated on one build and did something or the other on the bike every single day and got it completed on time.
That is what every customer would want. Most of the mechanics are like the barbers in Tirupati (old story).

OT :I am wanting to do a rebuild of my bike too. Its is in acceptably good shape.
Most of the parts already procured.
Will you be able to help with the refurbishment. PM your cost details for labor. I am in Chennai, would not mind shipping. It ran the maximum on the streets of Bangalore.

Very nice restoration and the result shows the amount of concentration you had during the rebuild
