Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

you sure can opt for the Autoescorts points replacement system. It will relieve you from frequent points adjustments. no extra gain in performance however.
P.S-It is NOT a CDI kit.

yes the Autoescorts is a TCI (Transistor Control Ignition) if installed correctly you wont have any troubles but yes it doesn't have that extra punch like the rdd cdi or og for RaviNagesh kit , hunt on googlebaba , for all the 3 types mentioned .autoescorts is based in Mumbai they do have their add on auto magazines , double check

              Hello Brother,

Why not keep the Original Point system going on? I have an RD HT since last 1.5year running on points & it give me no problems at all!!!

About the CDI points Please forgive me as I do not know the Names of these but theres dealer in Mumbai who sells the whole conversion kit it includes all the wiring Suzuki Shogun's Magnet & Coils I have heard many people are succesfully running their RD's on this kit it cost's about 6000 Rupees & I have heard the installation is also simple & easy.
The dealers name is SUraj Auto in Grant Road Mumbai.

Auto escorts produce point replacement TCI modules for older generation vehicles like m800, bullet and rd350.

It works by replacing the mechanical points with a magnetic reluctor and a set of pulsar coils, adding two TCI modules and ignition coils(for the RD) while keeping the rest of the electrical system intact. You need the original points alternator assembly in order to use this set up. While it will not add much to the power of the bike, what it will do, is eliminate the hassle of adjusting points at regular intervals and smoothen out the power delivery.

Here is a link to the auto escorts website.

                Welcome to Autoescorts - Home

This is the contact number of Mr. Kiran Bhide. Owner of auto escorts.

                09820914008

He is a joy to do business with. Give him a call and he will guide you through the rest of the process.
Rest assured it is a better option than any jugad CDI set up or the dachi points you get thesedays.

Please understand how an ignition system works before going for so called CDI set ups. Because if it were that easy to convert a vehicle from Points to electronic ignition then we wont need people like RD Chinoy and Ravi Nagesh. Now would we.

Whoever owns an RD should consider it a privilege. Please do not spoil it by doing undesirable things to her.

Its out of production now unfortunately. You can only have it if someone has a kit lying with him.

At present, none. You might want to stretch you budget for a quality kit.

Did the later LT versions came with electronic ignition from the factory? Read it somewhere but not sure how far its true.

Last few models of the RD LT came with a factory fitted CDI.
