Let me give you an idea. prices may vary a little

The Engine side covers except the magneto side cover(big one) are available at spare shops for less than 1200. The chassis is 3300. The centre piece or the main case of the engine is 3100, the crank is around 2500, the clutch bell complete is around 8500( one of the most expensive part) the cylinder kit is 8500, head is 1500, 5 speed gear boxes (used go for around 5-6k) new not available. The tank is rare, new Delhi make will soon hit the market but used goes 5-8k. The entire fiber kit(visor, engine cowl, side covers and rear cowl is around 2200. carb is around 4k used, lock set is around 500, Rest everything is common with other RX models do the math, if you replace everything and get everything new you will still be under 50K. The most expensive parts are the Clutch and the cylinder kit, you you don't have to replace those you would be saving 20k there and chassis and engine center case is another 6-7k

I think for Mileage,Shogun will give you 25-30 Kmpl on Normal Riding.For Pistons,Try to source ART Pistons - They are the Best.There was a Shogun with Catalytic Converter too.It made 2 Bhp Less but with Lowered Emissions and Increased Efficiency.For Mods,Try to sourrce original Yamaha RX Z Discs or Apache RTR Disc.You can Convert to Full 12V DC Electricals.Use the Black and Red Paint Scheme.It looks Killer.Also if the Headlight Visor needs a Change,Please,DON'T use a Samurai's Round Headlamp.Try Sourcing the Original Shogun Visor.There is a Group in Facebook - Suzuki Shogun/Shaolin Spares.They have Brand New,Slightly Used and Re-conditioned Parts.They can ship it to you too.They will help alot.If you can Come to Chennai Mr.Sathish or A.K.A Mr.Boss here can help you alot.Pudupet is also a Great Place for Spares.But be very careful with your Belongings there.Theft happens like a Peice of Chocolate Cake (Learnt it the Hard Way)Something that's very interesting is that It can still smoke the living lights out of a Stock Yamaha RX,125-150cc 4 Strokes Bikes.If you are NOT worried about searching hard enough for Parts and Low Resale Value (You shouldn't be in the first place as a 2 stroke Lover),GO FOR THE BOSS !

Now am just crazy about the shogun , within 1 month am gonna sell my unicorn and gonna get the boss . I just fell in love with it [emoji51] [emoji51] , and my brother is at coimbatoor so finding parts their won't be much of trouble . Although I have seen a few shoguns through olx but they are all just average conditions. ...All of them all asking for 55k to 40k . Am sure gonna buy one ....[emoji7] [emoji7] .

Nothing has to be done , it's a factory sealed engine and Fully restored bike .
now it only need a few replacement and I bought it for 55k . The bike belonged to [MENTION=73502]yam[/MENTION] (pramod kumar) , he is one great man and helped me in so many ways .8

although I would need a place where I can collect parts .

Nice one there ! You need the Visor and the Left RVM.Take both the Rims and paint it Metallic Black and chrome the Spokes.Gonna look killer !

Can you help me get a shogun below 30k? I am not interested for samurais ported(there is no such thing in the first place).

My requirements are clear title, valid paper, condition running and visually ok, should have a standard cylinder, working electrical, preferably a KL reg, if any other reg, NOC is mandatory can pay upto 40k.

What say can you help?

I saw through your post that you are 16, I was 16 once. I do see a lot of such bikes on OLX, but have you pursued any of these bikes? for example the last bike from Coimbatore is two different bike pics.

I have gone in pursuit of such olx bikes, most of the times they are dead ends. You do see Yamaha RXZ 4 speeds for 15k, that doesn't mean the market is 15k and any price above that is high.

I would not say you are immature in saying that anything above 35k is too high, after all you are 16, I remember you from another thread where you said a shogun is 5 speed because 5 speed = high sprint gear, I also remember telling you what you say on the internet will stay there like for ever, start acting responsibly because once you will turn 35 like me and at that time you will repent on what you said when you were 16. In some way it will also define you at that age.

FYI, Captains bike not only has a fitness, but it also has a valid insurance till 2016. Its tastefully restored and every single item including the oil level indicator lamp works. I bought 3 sets of meters for getting his bike running, the second set was shipped from Jammu and Kashmir and the third set was hand carried by Captain himself. I had taken the pain to restore the bike nut by nut, myself. So I do feel bad when you put a price to that and its quite obvious.

Now let me tell you one more thing. Its a place where you can you can learn a lot and trust me if you use your years to come wisely without stepping on anyone's tail, you will surpass the knowledge level most of the guys have here. But if you let your ego come in between your learning you will never move ahead. The choice is yours.
