Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Owning a 2 stroke is not that easy now a days. Of all the lot of 2 strokes RX 100 parts are most available. So you are too passionate about 2 stroke only you buy it. Or else you buy some modern four stroke.
Before that please say where are you from?? The spares as well as the price of the bike mostly depends on the place you are from.

The bike don't look so bad. I can see rust on the chain cover and near swing arm.
Don't think about mileage much. RX is never owned for its mileage, its the sheer riding pleasure. 40 is good mileage.
Be ready to spend some amount on the cosmetics. The seat looks not so good.
Take a test ride of the bike and see how you feel. If you are not so sure take somebody who know about. After all its your friends friend. Lets hope he won't cheat you.

So you are in the heaven of 2 stroke. So as I said before if you are interested only you buy this. Comparing with the parts availability I say you buy 100 as parts are easier to get than 135 though there is a minor increase in power.
It's better you ride it stock ( my opinion). What kind of modifications are you expecting cosmetic or performance??

i think she is in 'fair' condition.
but to be brutallly honest the asking price is a tad too high.
i wud take it if it were in sub18~20k bracket; especially considering that there is a fair deal of effort & money to be spent on it for restoration etc.
but then again as stated above, u go in for the kill only if u r obsessed by a 2stroker... if not, simply route that money into something more sensible.
clearly its a decision of the heart & not that of the brain alone...

5 speed RX100? I guess the guy thrown in a lot of mods. Might be nice but improper mods ruin the bike also 25k is too high for a RX100 IMHO. 15k should be the ideal price. If you want performance, go for RX135 and word of advice, forget that there's something called mileage when you buy RX135. It's for the sheer riding pleasure not mileage.

5 speed sticker might be a sticker only!

It's just the stickers i think.

RX 135 4 speed gives better mileage than RX 100.

Maybe just the stickers, I thought he put a 5 speed gearbox as OP said his friend got some engine work done.

I used to ride a RX135 4 speed and it gave me around 35kmpl. I haven't ridden a RX100 enough to check mileage but my friends who own RX100 says they get 40kmpl out of it.

Re: Should i go for Yamaha Rx 100 ?

i have a 5 speed RX100 (converted) with a very close 5 speed ratio of the RX135 5S and a poper RXZ(RXK spec). I must say that the RX100 has its limitations, but gives me very good milegae compared to to the RXZ-K...hahaha

A well maintained RX 135 if ridden in the economy gives between 40-45 kmpl, to get the same figure for 100 I think you have to lean the mixture.

I see, my RX135 was an old beat up one. I was planning to rebuild it but the bike got tatalled few weeks ago.

it is just rx 100 4 speed. 5 speed is just stickering. and Thanks for your advises. i also thought that 25k is too much for that but now days rx sellers are raising the praise like anything, so can you guys help me to find where can i get the good rx bikes in correct praise...
