        Re: Should i go for Yamaha Rx 100 ?

        shiv777,
        Bangalore is heaven for modding RX but Hell while finding a decently priced RX. You need to adjust the AFR screw in the the carburetor to lean or rich the mixture. Beware, too lean mixture will ruin the engine and too rich will foul the spark plug and you might need to decarb the piston head sooner. As I said previously, forget mileage while buying RX series bike, they aren't built for giving good mileage. Mileage is Splendor's department, not RX's

        Well, try to haggle the price a bit before dropping it, see if you can get it to 18k at least.
        I am back!

          For the perfect combustion the air fuel mixture should at the correct ratio. You lean the mixture either by decreasing the fuel in case of 4 strokes and incase of your yamaha you increase the air by turning the air screw of the carb anticlockwise. So that the amount of air entering the combustion chamber increases.
          Leaning the mix is not advisable as the reduced fuel will lead to overheating of the engine and can harm the piston rings and piston.
          People do it to just increase the mileage.

              You can also try putting things back to bring to stock condition. Actually the sticker design of this model was well known and silver color would stand out. Take a moment to read some restoration threads to know what it takes & pointers noted might come handy.

                Bro Actually i am going to repaint my bike because this color looks dull now , so if you suggest me which color suits well on this bike, it would be appreciable. the most thing is now that i will replace all the stock blinkers to royal enfield blinkers , and chain cover too.

                  If you are not going to rebuild to stock condition, it doesn't matter anything..just plonk your favourites and ride happily.

                    i upload some pics please see and suggest me with options, opinion, maintenance sugestions.
                    Dear Shiv,

                    I would have bought that with my eyes closed but not at the price of 25k. I dont really know what the procedure of the paper work is there in your city. In Mumbai I would have to clear the Green Tax, Passing & transfer on my name alongwith insurance it would cost me around 6 k for the paper work. I suggest keep that cost also in mind. coming to the Pics of the bike that I see its in a very good shape. In mumbai I could have bought it for around 12-14k.

                        rx 135 performance problem please help

                        Hi Guys.

                        i have big problem with my RX 135.

                        These are the problem in my bike

                        1. Bore problem, my mechanical said its under last stage. now new japan bore is not available so we have fit the bore under .25 to .5 size by taking 2nds. but indian new yamaha bores are available and give decent performance but he says its performance not much good upto japan's bore like pick up will come down after engine heat up i'm getting full confused which one to choose. please help with advice.
                        here is price list
                        1. indian full bore kit = 8500

                        2. japan bore 2nds (.25 to .5 )= 8000
                        lathing = 500
                        piston = 1500
                        Total = 10000

                        2. engine Part. he said rod and bearing also not good and connecting rod is bend and we should change it if we change the bore he said. estimation for that is 7500.
